  6. 6

    I heard this movie
    was a (Mister) big disappointment
but i may have to see for myself.

  7. 7

i loved it and i would go back to see it again…they did a very good job with the sequel!!!

  8. 8

LOVED IT!!!!! def more fun and hilarious than the first. i laughed from start to finish. it was definitley more up beat than the first.

  9. 9

the first half-hour was really offensive and upsetting. it redeemed itself though. i really loved the first movie and while this one wasn't as good, it was still a lot of fun.

  10. 10

ugh, it was awful. carrie looked like a man throughout the whole thing. and it was soooo disrespectful to the women in the middle east.. oh my gawd.

  11. 11

    No, I didn't and I don't know anyone who did/would.

  12. 12

i saw the movie wednesday night. it has no plot, fashion is no where near what it should be, and the acting is so-so. all in all, complete dissapointment.

Loved it much more fun than the first one!! I love Kim Cattrall she's a riot!!

I heard this music sucks. Don't go.

  19. 19

Liza is Ah-Maaazing! The only film I've been to where the audiance applauds a film. Can't wait to buy the dvd

  20. 20

    HORRIBLE photoshop

  21. 21

Im seeing it next week… Hope its good!!!

  22. 22

I really enjoyed the movie. The clothes were fabulous, the humor was good and the story line wasn't horrible. All in all I left pretty satisfied.

  23. 23

    It was awesome!!!

  24. 24

what?? u fuckers got to see it on thursday…fuck u america….it was amazing

  25. 25

ITS SO BAD!! This is such an awful, no plot waste of two and half hours, for myself only a waste of an hr and a half. We walked out after an hour and a half and grabbed some food and drinks at a rest/bar next door. Jellybones guess we should have tried watching the whole thing since you said it got better. TERRIBLE!

  26. 26

Re: jellybones – why was it offensive in the first half hour sally sensitive?

  27. 27

The recession MUST be over if ppl are forking over good money to see this crap…Just say'n ….

  28. 28

i don't care what the reviews are. i will be seeing this movie. i think it's just what the fans want.

  29. 29

Getting bad reviews, generally. 2+ hours of…nothing….

  30. 30

Re: cindydeesam1 – agreed! i'm the only female that seems to think sex and the city sux!

  31. 31

yep, i saw the first 40 min last night and it sucked hard! There's nothing groundbreaking here. It's all sterotypes being shoved down my throat. Gay sterotypes (LIZA??? Why not Kylie or Madonna for Christ's sake?!), middle eastern sterotypes. Really, really, bad. Poor Mr. Big he looks like he's just there for a paycheck and tolerating My Little Pony Parker. :(

  32. 32

I just saw it, and I've been a very loyal fan since I was 16, when the show first aired, and it was TERRIBLE! It seemed so forced and I felt let down. They should have stopped after the first film.
I understand they couldn't secure permission for filming in the UAE, but why didn't they change the storyline to Morocco? I've been to the UAE and Marrakech, and they were obviously in Morocco. They didn't even do a good job of trying to make it Abu Dhabi, except for the costumes.

  33. 33

Too long. Jumped the shark. I miss the spark of the original TV show.

  34. 34

Re: flora_tink – because you were dropped on the head as a child no doubt

  35. 35

OMG loved it, I'm a huge fan of the show, and thought this movie was much better than the first. A++++ ps. Char's camel toe on a camel was so flippin funny!!!

  36. 36

I added to the 14M last night and have to say…. money well spent. Kim Catrall was brillant - it was really her movie!

  37. 37

I really liked it…there were a few things that I didn't like..like I don't understand why Carrie was being such a bitch to Big just because he wanted to watch TV. Also, as an anniversary gift he bought her a nice t.v. for the bedroom and she was upset! wtf?

  38. 38

Re: eriums7777 – The only people in the theatre that really enjoyed the film were 15 year old girls…

  39. 39

  40. 40

i cant wait to go see it again!! i didnt realize the ladies were so funny

  41. 41

im a huge fan of the series and i've got to say…disappointment. all the plots sucked. the only one who got SOMETHING decent was char, and even then…they made her so ditsy it was hard to watch.
    under-use of cameo's and characters.
its almost like they just threw everyones ideas together without working it out.
i really WANTED to like the movie but sadly, it's a one-time rental.

  42. 42

I would never waste my time with this overrated crap. I don't think I could bear looking at SJP's horseface and creepy hands for 2 hours.

  43. 43

The only good thing about this movie is that it makes fun of Muslims and their stupid regulations against women. Imans are Idiots!

  44. 44

Looks like shit but will rake in the $$$.

  45. 45

Ok… So I have to say as a long time SITC Fan, I am HUGELY Disappointed in this film. I was so excited for the 2nd to come out, I could hardly contain myself. However, on this, I could have waited for the DVD rental!!!! Sorry ladies. The story line itself, lacked. 2 HUGE Thumbs Down to Michael Patrick King. You can obviously tell this was thrown together. There was not alot of use of the other characters.. I.E. Men. Jason Lewis - Not needed. Wedding at the beginning - No sense at all (stereotypical), Going to Abu Dhabi - whatever (offensive to women). This series, movie, should be about NY and Fashion. This movie was NOT about NY at all, and the fashion, so over the top, its not believable. ****I hope they make a 3rd, and redeem theirselfs, cause if your a true sex in the city fan, there is no way, you can honestly say this was better then the 1st or the series****

  46. 46

Re: flora_tink – agreed! who would want to be Skanky Carries friend. She fucks around with other dudes on her dudes and on their ladies. With so many woman saying how they will 'kick a bitches ass' over their man, why would they want to be friends with Carrie. The only thing good about her is Big's money. Just shows you people will buy any shit shoved down their throats. Morons

  47. ww29 says – reply to this

I didn't like it much at all. There was not enough NYC or Mr. Big. The part with Liza was a day late and 5,000 other Single Ladies remakes short. Having to see Miley Cyrus even for a few moments took more points away! It seemed like the whole thing was done to promote products. The show was always so well written. They came up with things nobody else had and crossed boundaries that others wouldn't dare. This movie came across as cheesy and the anti Muslim jokes went overboard.

  48. 48

Re: xcalibur – 9% from top critics (which is crappy as hell)

  49. 49

hellz yeah i went to see it. I was not disapointed! The movie rocked mah sox! I'm such a huge fan. I cried during the wedding scene!

  50. 50

Re: amazziingnxal – she always looks like that to me!

  51. @v@ says – reply to this

    Chick power.

    Women spend money.

  52. 52

I saw it, and enjoyed it. Though it wasn't as satisfying to me as the first one, I liked it. There were two or three scenes that I absolutely loved. Anthony taking his vows, Charlotte and Miranda discussing motherhood over drinks, and the ending with Big and Carrie working things out. Good fun movie.

  53. 53

Luved it more than the 1st movie….it was funny, great fashions and Big looked amazing (very sexy) - also the gals looked great and the fashions amazing - look up Halston - WOW - with the exception of the red number with spikes that Samantha wore - good lord what were they thinking…..overall A+

  54. 54

SATC 2 was faabulous, but not as good as the first one. how is it offensive to women? that they portray a country that really does have issues with women's freedom and refuse to live by their ridiculous standards..thought it was a good way to shed some light of the problem in the middle east

  55. 55

I saw it at 1205am Thursday morning! It was good, not scandalous, but good. Usual laughs. No tears. Aidan could've been more of a storyline. Maybe they're leaving things open for a 3rd?!
    3/4 stars

  56. 56

    Re: LuvsMusic33
As a true sex and the city fan, you should know that it's called sex AND the city not sex IN the city.

  57. 57

SATC fans will still love this installment. It's not Masterpiece Theatre, ppl. It's a guilty pleasure….just enjoy it!

  58. 58

:sigh: i could barley stand to look at My Little Pony Parkers face especially during the close ups… ugh. No Plot. The ending was a slap in the face.. Wtf why would "big" reward her with a ring for being a loose whore?? Oh wait.. its torture for her right?? to have a rock on her ring?/ GTFOH The clothes was just not impressive to me. Ummm Samantha is dried up already, yeah her antics are funny I guess but honestly she is offensive to me, wtf does she have to be so slutty and horny all the time?? Not believable and all. and did anyone else realize how ugly the little crying baby was??? Ha ha

  59. 59

It was the biggest waste of time that I've ever seen. Seriously, the huge mad dash at the end is the HORROR of having to fly home in coach? Give me a fucking break. They've all just become spoiled and unlikeable. Especially Carrie.

  60. 60

A bit long, but it was great! What "the critics" dont get is - that "the critics" have never liked SATC, on TV or film. Its the fan base that made it popular. And the fan base realizes that the actresses and their characters are no longer 20 something singles. The fun is in watching them age along with us.

  61. 61

Re: SassySadie – oh yes! that's EXACTLY it!
    thanks for letting me know
    *rolls eyes*

  62. 62

i enjoyed it, and i did feel satisfied when i came out of the cinema, but i do think the first one was better. There wasn't much of a storyline and i would have liked to have seen more of NY. Def worth watching though:)

  63. 63

movies that people love always get bad reviews-but i loved it!!!! Any SATC fan will love it!

  64. 64

some critics have called it the worst film of the year….

i love sex and the city but i very rarely enjoy a film that has gotten as much bad reviews as this one is getting

  65. 65

not good. they look old, and its long and boring. first was much better. they should have just left it alone. no point to it at all, except maybe to make old people feel cool and better about being fucking old.

  66. 66

The producers seem to think gay men can't be monogamous. Gee, thanks, SATC. In the next movie, you can reveal that it's our secret agenda to undermine marriage.

  67. 67

as a long time fan i was soo looking forward to this sequel because the 1st was great & the writers did such a great job tying up alot of loose ends from the series but in this one…it seems like they were just leaning on the success of the 1st film & over hyped promotion to get people to want to see it. the movie had no true plot or story for any of the ladies, and the ending was rather sudden, not tied in well, and incredibly disappointing for true fans. waste of time & money to see it in theatre. definitely just a rental. dont see a 3rd one coming & even if there was, i wont be going ot of my way to see it. i think the only people who will enjoy this film are new & completely unfamiliar audiences.

  68. 68

oh god, im so excited to see it, 1 week to go till it comes to the movies here!
sad to see so many bad comments about it.

    SATC ftw

  69. 69

it was really gooooood! surprised immensely!

  70. 70

Re: tallguy10 – They never were 20 something singles! The show began when they were in their 30s. That was the entire point of the show.

  71. 71

am i the only one who thought it was a total bore and nothing significant really happened????? kissing aiden? oooooo big deal….Big has done much worse to Carrie in the past….

  72. 72

    Absolutly Fab!

  73. 73

Since being completely brain dead is a requirement for "LOVIN' IT," I'm damned sure most of the posters here will "LOVE IT!" ….and "OMG AMAZES," "LIKE TOTALS HOTTTTT!"…blah, blah, blah.

    ‹^› ‹(•¿•)› ‹^›

  74. 74

Amaaazing! The fashion, the girls all was amazing! I think it's even funnier than the first one!

  75. 75

This was sadly one of the worst movies I have ever paid to see; I wouldn't even rent it on DVD…and I'm a BIG SATC fan. BTW, for al you guys in the US, who may have heard that muslims may be offended by this, I can honestly say (not as a muslim, but as a non-american) that what it did was make Amercians look ignorant and stupid and sterotyped all of you as not knowing how the rest of the world is….i.e. the rest of the world does not revolve around the US. Now, I know that this is not the case for all of your across the pond, but this is the impression it gave - I was embarrassed to watch it

  76. 76

Ms. Cattrall should rent asunder the fools who photoshopped her face with a horribly misaligned mouth. If you get to see the poster up close just look at how hideous they made her look. WTF? I love her.

  77. 77

How can you tell a Hollywood film? It has a number after the title. There is a difference between making a film and manufacturing one. May be a time for a revolution in film (as well as all the arts).

  78. 78

best film I have seen, in a LONG time!

  79. 79

I saw it…cute and enjoyable but the boom mic in all the shots drove me crazy!!!

  80. 80

Re: SaritaMara – Then you're a complete moron.
I walked out of the theatre feeling like I'd wasted the past 2.5 hours of my life, and got a similar response from the other women in the theatre. The only people that enjoyed the film were the young, over tanned teenage girls that were in diapers when the show first aired! They were all carrying River Island bags, probably filled with cheap, ugly dresses to wear to the under 18s club.

  81. 81

Re: angeleyes – I'm sorry, but I hear just as many ignorant comments living in the UK as I did in the US. I don't know where you live, but I'm sure you're not at the centre of cultural awareness, either.
    Your comment is really disgusting.

  82. 82

Re: perezezdashiz – i seen the mic throughout the whole first movie but not the second. how weird

  83. 83

It was so much better than the first. Much funnier. Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!

  84. 84

Saw it Fri…girls definitely looking quite arthritic!! The only one who didn't seem to age much is Miranda. Maybe eating pu$$y keeps you young???

Good movie though, didn't compare to #1 though!!

  85. 85

I think what some of the haters are forgetting is that this series celebrates the female experience of when who ARE NOT in their 20's. Liza represents the ULTIMATE gay icon for gay men in their mid 40's. That's what makes it funny!

I loved Miranda in this movie. Leaving the job she so protected, cutting loose, taking a risk. I loved Charolette. She needed to be humanized. Life isn't perfect and it's okay to admitt it! While Carrie sorta annoyed me with the terrible puns, her story is that of MANY women. You finally get what you want but then forget to appreciate it. We all have friends who are their worst enemy and CREATE unnessary drama for themselves.

  86. 86

    Re: IrisAna

LOL…that is Harry's daughter in real life!!!

  87. 87

    Not interested….same shit, different day!

  88. 88

I thought it was Fabulicious! No plot…who cares…it's the "gals" some of us "older" people need a break from dh's and kiddos and to go watch "our" gals and have some laughs…yeah…that was sooo not a waste of $$ or time as some wrote!

  89. 89

    Re: Roseygirl – Amen Sis'ta!

  90. 90

Re: Serena Loves Mario – Totally agree w/your statement! The gals have always represented mature women making mistakes in their lives…but never 20 somethings!

  91. 91

Re: Serena Loves Mario – She was right, that film did make the US look bad. Would a British film ever be made today that was so offensive? No. And have any recent British films ever been even half as offensive as this one? No.

  92. 92

Re: Laura13 – How can one film about 4 women make an entire country of over 300 million people look bad?
I don't judge the entire UK based on the BNP, but I'm assuming you do, based on your fondness of generalisations.
