A friend of Brittany Murphy is claiming that Simon Monjack was suffering "a near nervous breakdown" soon after his wife's death.
After Brittany's death in December, friends say that he would harass them with texts and phone calls and even invited them to a screening of her last film Abandoned, however many refused to attend.
The friend adds:
"Many of us found him difficult to accept, largely by they way he dominated Brittany. He was relentless. It got so bad, we refused to go. He left messages pleading with us. But we'd all feel like hypocrites if we'd gone."
And to make matters worse, apparently a month before he died, they stopped receiving the calls and texts, thinking he "got the message," but the friend goes on to say, "I think he must have retreated into himself."
Many empty pill bottles were found in Simon's room when he passed away last Sunday.
This whole story just gets even more strange and sad.
