Celine Dion Is Pregnant With Twins!

After several failed attempts with in-vitro fertilization, Celine Dion's rep has confirmed that she is pregnant with twins!

Hubby Rene Angelil says, "We're ecstatic. Celine is just hoping for a healthy pregnancy. She was hoping for one baby and the news that we are having two is a double blessing."

We're so happy your dream is coming true, Ms. Celine!!

I'm very happy for her and Rene, I'm not a fan of her music but I've seen and read interviews with Celine and she seems extremely nice and definitely a good mother.

She is 14 weeks pregnant. I'm sure they are well aware of Rene's advancing age. They're okay with it so why should anyone else care. Maybe Celine's massive family can fill the breach if he croaks. Also, Celine is not bad looking but this particular hair style has never been flattering on her. She looks much better on other sites.

Re: SerenityMarie – I think maybe you should check just how far along 14 weeks is. At 14 weeks, she just started the second trimester, which is 4-6 months. Most people wait until this time, especially if they have a history of miscarriages.

As for Celine, she isn't too old to be having kids, but at 68 her husband should be having grandchildren, not children. He has already had major health problems and chances are he will not see the twins graduate.

This is just sick. These OLD ppl having kids. They are old enough to be grandparents right now and they are having babies. It's not fair to the kids cuz the parents are too old to see them achieve things in life that younger parents have the privlege to see and the kids are robbed of the parents cuz they are so old they die when the kids are young. Go get a couple of puppies or a coupple of chimps.

I've always been creeped out by Rene & Celine's relationship, but if they want to have kids, more power to them. It's not mine or anyone's place tot say they shouldn't. I don't know about Rene, but Celine strikes me as a healthy woman; I'm sure she'll be around when the kids reach 20, 30, 40, etc.

And it is ridiculous that her HUSBAND is having children at his age.

People are saying good luck and voicing concern for the babies because at her age, there are a lot more things that can go wrong, and she'd already had a miriad of problems in previous pregnancies. Further, IMHO, IVF doesn't always work for a reason. Did you ever stop to think that a couple can't get pregnant because there is something genetic preventing it? I've met several families who went through IVF and had children from single and multiple births. MANY of them have learning disabilities or even physical defects. Survival of the fittest?

And why isn't anyone bringing up Kelly Preston, who at 47 is 5 years older than Celine. Only difference is her husband doesn't need a walker.

I am sorry to read so many envious comments from people who live quite ordinary lives and who are not aware that there are many wonderful choices to raise a family. Ms. Dion has been greatly blessed with a successful, nicely paid career, a loving husband, a healthy son, an adoring audience and tremendous talent. She deserves to have as many children as her heart desires and she will get them, no doubt. It´s an extraordinary, fabulous life that few people can understand, but its fitting for a great human being as Ms. Celine Dion. CONGRATULATIONS!!

Re: ThePharaoh – I was 23 when my first child was diagnoised with Down Syndrome. I would have loved to carry this child to full term; she was a child of God! Unfortunately, she was too sick to stay and passed away in utero sometime in my 15th week of pregnancy. No matter what, all human beings are beautiful! Those with DS are beautiful, they are here to teach US a lesson! Shame on you for saying such nasty and awful things.

I don't believe that means that the two of us are skanks, it just means that you are an immature idiot that better go back to school and study math a bit longer. 21 + 21 = 42.
