Though Dennis Hopper tried desperately to divorce his wife before his death, he was unsuccessful. Now, she is looking to run off with all he left behind!
Their prenup grants Victoria Hopper not only 25% of his estate, but $250,000 from his life insurance. Victoria is prepared to argue that even though they were living in separate houses, they were still “living together” on the same property.
She has a case…but so does Dennis Hopper's high-powered attorney, Joe Mannis! He’s prepared to go to war with Victoria and make sure she doesn’t touch a penny of his client’s riches.

You know what, I wouldn't write this lady off just yet. There have been numerous reports over the years of Dennis Hopper's cruelty, egomania, and just plain asshole like behavior. He was married to the lady from the Mamas and the Papas, for only like eight days. She divorced him on grounds of "cruelty". Not to mention he lost people that were considered very close friends after making Easy Rider with them. According to those ex-friends he was not only an asshole but very controlling. If all the things said about Hopper are true, maybe this lady deserves a little payout for sticking with his ass all these years. He might have been a great actor, and too bad he's dead now, but that doesn't change how he acted in life.

What if he was taunting her about leaving her and his daughter nothing, and she was frightened into feeling like she needed to look after herself and her daughter's future? She was his current wife, but he had a reputation. Is this accusation stuff coming from ex's or former children? If paintings are missing, how do people know the ex's families don't have them? Finger pointing can go both ways, just saying. If anything's proven, and the paintings are recovered, then the paintings rightfully become a part of the estate to be divided as predetermined. When people with assets pass, relatives always circle like vultures and say terrible things to and about one another. I've seen it many times.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dennis Hopper, who was a great artist. Yes, not just a movie star, but an artist in many fields. He was an unlucky guy not to have a better wife in his final years. But despite all that, I think we can say Dennis Hopper enjoyed his life to the full and he will be remembered for a very long time. "Easy Rider" is one of my favorite movies of all time.
