Miley Cyrus recently admitted to not understanding the Glee phenomenon. The problem, ironically enough, is that Miley has a problem suspending her disbelief.
Yeah, okay. Because people really can’t tell the difference between you and Hannah Montana. That wig is just such a game changer!
Anyway, in the most recent issue of Billboard, she explained:
“Honestly, musicals? I just can’t, What if this was real life and I was just walking down the street on Rodeo Drive and all of a sudden I just burst into song about how much I love shoes?”
Did you not watch your show??? You were singing all the time! Same difference!

You already mentioned this in different setting and she never mentioned GLEE. Glee club is different than say Grease. She could still be a fan of the show, you don't know for sure. Singing is expected in glee club. Its not like high school musical where they just burst into song in Math class.

I'm failing to see the part where she mentioned GLEE AT ALL! She is referring to musicals in general, about which she has a point. People randomly burst into song and everyone around them acts as if it isn't happening, or joins in with a strangly pre-learned dance routine, a la High School Musical.
Glee, on the other hand, has people bursting into song because they have been told to in order to perform for competitions. Maybe at the beginning of the show they had the odd random outburst but usually there is a point to it.

I'm a Gleek myself. Eventhough I usually don't like musicals. But they do break into song for no reason sometimes. Well there is a reason for the script. But they burst out into songs in hallways like in musicals where they sing to people who don't see them or suddenly stand alone in an empty hallway.

No. You're detecting some individuality. Lea Michele needs to work on her voice. The show is not edgy, merely desperate. The majority of the production numbers are rushed and feel last minute. Thankfully, there are some secondary characters with acting and singing ability.

I find her trying to grow up too quickly in the music business and trying to be like others instead of herself. Okay so not everyone likes Glee but I think this girl is so hypocritical. I recall an interview she gave about "Party In the USA." She stated "Party in the U.S.A. is not even my style of music." Yet what is her new single "Can't be Tamed" is a POP single that sounds like something Miss Spears would release. Maybe Miley is a little hurt that Ryan Murphy only included one 'Miley' song (The Climb) and it was performed horrendously by the character Rachel. Which probably offended Miss Cyrus.
