Fran Drescher: My Ex-Husband Is Gay!
She's definitely a strong woman!
Fran Drescher and her ex-husband Peter Marc Jacobson banned together in 2008 to block Proposition 8, but the issue was closer to Peter's heart than anyone could have imagined.
The man she was married to for 20 years is gay!
“Peter and I met when we were 15,” Fran tells In Touch Weekly. “We were just kids and didn’t know who we truly were. We went through a lot together.”
She claims that they remain “the best of friends. We love each other dearly."
They are even working on a sitcom based on their relationship.
“We have even fixed each other up! I more successfully than him, by the way," she divulged. “Peter and I feel so blessed to have met each other and to still have a caring, loving relationship. Love is what we’re all about.”

I am shocked really. All I remember about him was that he was co-producer of The Nanny (which still remains one of my favorite shows!) with her and that he–in real life, not on screen– was tied up and forced to watch her rape…and they still remained close… THAT alone would have torn any couple apart. So I, for one, am glad she still supports him. That woman is remarkable! Love her!

Aw I love her and no surprise, many many MANY married men are gay. Some are in denial, some know it, but are scared, and some actively pursue gay lifestyles behind their wives back. Is nice to know Fran excepts him for who he is. Good for her! She is truly an amazing woman.

I married a closeted gay guy and all I got was a pill stealing alcoholic who used to write secret sexually graphic emails to his HIV positive ex-lover. Oh, and he cost me about 10 grand in debt and he totaled my car when he stole it while high on booze and pills. We're not the best of friends, in fact, I pretty much hope he's dead. I'm happy Fran had it easy.

Wow, I find it really sweet and inspiring that she is such a forgiving person. I know its very CP right now to be all for people coming out, but that was incredibly selfish of him, to not only marry her, but then remain married to her and swallow 20 years of her life she wont get back to share with someone who was going to stay committed to her. Why can't people think of anyone but themselves and what they want Right Now anymore?
