      Heck yeah!

    3. 3

Yeah, nothing like giving your loved one a little "surprise party from hell". Not too many people out there are going to say no to rehab when your family is in front of your face telling you they'll no longer be in your life if you don't. Too bad when the rehab fails the person is left feeling like a bigger piece of shit then they did before.

I hate these shows. I think that they just promote and give attention to the addict and then when all of the cameras and lights are gone the drugs and the druggie remains. They show them lighting up and getting high..it isn't cool.

i used to love that show.
but frankly, i am a little tired of it. the only episodes i usually watch are the pills, the heroin, and the meth.

I'll def be watching. I can relate to these people's and their families situations. it's interesting to see what pushing them into deep addiction.

BUT like rasta said, I'll be mostly reading-ann rule : )

    15. 15

Yes ill be watching! (hopefully this season one will relapse and DIE!) now THATS entertainment!

Intervention is a life saver! I have a family member who is a recovering addict and he watches the show to remind him of where he was and where he never wants to be again. It has helped tremendously with his post-rehab healing and he hasn't had a relapse since he got out. This show rocks!

I am a licensed mental health and substance abuse counselor. Here is what upsets me the most. When you force any addicted person into treatment, your statistical chance of them staying clean and/or sober is very low. If someone took you and ambushed you after "filming" you for your problem of ________ for thirty days and then offered you a trip to sunny Florida or California for 30 days or the option of "your family will never talk to you again" what would you pick? Then as Tinalouise says-after the cameras are off..the person can either sink or swim. I would bet 1/3 of these people succeed long term if they would do a follow up–long term.

    21. 21

I'll be watching for sure. I love this show … especially when it's a happy ending and you find out how long they've been clean. And the followup shows are good also.

    22. 22

This is one of the VERY best television shows of all time…you want reality tv people, here ya go! LOVE IT!
