Spoilers! Want To Know The Deets On J.J. Abrams' New Show??

Tisk, tisk, JJ Abrams! You've made a career out of keeping your projects super secretive, and now look what you've done!

The Lost and Alias mastermind teamed with writer Josh Reims for their new television show, Undercovers - set to air on NBC in the fall - and somehow, someone involved let the secret pilot spec leak onto the net!

Warner Bros, of course, quickly pulled it down everywhere they could - but not quickly enough!

The script is preceded by this note:

"The pace of this series is intended to be unusually, almost unspeakably, fast. Sure we won't deny the script is long. But that's only if you judge by something as arbitrary as page numbers. So when reading the script, assuming you get past this page, whether it's an action sequence or just two people speaking, imagine scenes moving lighting fast. Then imagine them just the slightest bit faster. This will hopefully give you a sense of what we're going for."

Hmm. Okie doke. So the show, which is apparently a visual assault to the senses, will follow a married couple who happen to be retired secret service agents, Steven and Samantha, who are commissioned by a colleague named Carlton Shaw to help assist him in rescuing another old friend, Leo Nash, from an arms and drug dealer. They travel around the world, get into throw-down, kick-ass fights, and save the day! Of course, by the end of the pilot, they're back doing their old job and love each other more than ever!

We suppose we won't be able to assess its watchablility until it premieres, but sounds like pretty standard Abrams fare - post-Alias meets Mr. & Mrs. Smith!

What do U think?? Will U watch Undercovers??

You litterally have posted no gossip today, just a bunch of publicists releases about new shows or new projects. This is pathetic.

  3. 3

A show where the lead characters are black?!?!?! JJ Abrams better be writing that show for BET!

  4. 4

so the spoiler is that the show is going to move fast?? well now you've ruined it no point in watching any of it.

  5. 5

I wonder if he named "Carlton Shaw" after Carlton Cuse.

Sandra_Nazi_Bullock, Who cares if their black, white, latino of Asian? BET is all about black music/culture not the people necessarily. That's why they nominate people like Eminem, Robin Thicke,Justin Beiber( or however you spell his name)… Their music is urban. There are tons of different channels for different cultures. My friends' family have their Korean channel, another gets on from Iran. So what?

This show sounds like it's trying to be a serious version of CHUCK. And failing at it. The only show I'll be watching on NBC in the fall is CHUCK.

  8. 8

Could they have found two more beautiful leads? Wow!

Re: Sandra_Nazi_Bullock – you're a complete idiot! what difference does their color make?

I rarely watch any new shows today, most of them are canceled after a handful of episodes. What's the point?

I'm going to watch it, but unfortunately, the main stars are black, so no one else will. mark my words, jj is a genius, but he's not a miracle worker.

SPOILER: The main characters are actually dead, and have to be very fast-moving spies in order to let go and move on into the light.

I haven't decided if I will watch anything new on NBC. They are constantly cancelling good shows so why bother to start to watch something, enjoy it and then they take it off the schedule. I really liked Mercy and now they cancelled it and left all of us hanging with the last episode. NBC has idiots running their company.

Sounds like a fast paced Hart to Hart (yeah, I must be old, remember that show? )
