What a mystery!

Entertainment Tonight interviewed Gary Coleman's Diff'rent Strokes co-star Todd Bridges and he revealed that Gary not only recently had open-heart surgery, but he also had a some secret last wishes!

Here are some HIGHlights from Todd's interview, airing tonight!

On the good times they had together:

"We had an exceptional time as kids. We always had fun in our dressing rooms, we'd always roller skate together around [the studio lot], we always hung out… we went to school together. He was a precocious, fun little kid that was very bright for his age."

On Gary's behavior as an adult:

"Imagine having major health problems. Imagine getting ripped off of all your money. Imagine being raised in a household where he wasn't taught how to love himself or to love others around him. So when he hit the world at an adult age, he wasn't prepared."

On Gary's open-heart surgery:

"Physically, he wasn't in great shape. He had a valve replaced, and people didn't know that."

On Gary's last wishes:

"[A friend of mine and I] have paperwork, and we'll bring it out soon, that will show what his wishes were and what he wanted. There's a big fight going on with his parents and some other people involved, and after we bring this paperwork out, everybody's going to shut up.

"Gary had certain wishes [excluding his parents]. I'm not going to go against a dying man's wishes. … There's a reason why he didn't speak to them for 23 years."

Sounds intense!

We wonder what the big news is!

Probably points out that his wife was a violent abuser and his parents were crooks.

Considering the shady things he said in December, along with the fact he said he hadn't kept in touch with Gary…. this is adding to suspicion. Cashing in Bridges, since you admittedly are an idiot?

Re: imsoregistered – What shady things?
I remember Gary made an appearance on The Surreal life where he managed a diner the castmates were working at. Bridges was there having lunch with some friends. He seemed to be in Gary's corner when Vanilla Ice was giving Gary a hard time. ("C'mon Gary! Say it, say it! ""Whatchoo talkin about Willis?"") I kinda assumed they were friends but who the hell knows.
Maybe Gary wanted to be cremated. Something like that that would keep his parents away. Just a hunch.

I believe it was gary coleman's parents that allegedly spent all of Gary's money.
They are probably showing up again to get the remaining of what money
the poor guy has. The parents and ex-wife all need to be kicked to the curb.

Re: sobrietyisacrutch Some of it was on that "Truth Behind Sitcom Scandals", another was an interview that Bridges called to give to the… Times? possibly - New York something or other… anywho, called them to give his interview after Gary was having other medical issues last year. An interview with Oprah a few months ago - he'd said that their friendship didn't get past the second season of the show, let alone into their adult lives. He'd also said in another interview (before GC's death:
Former child actor TODD BRIDGES has been shunned by his DIFF'RENT STROKES co-star GARY COLEMAN in recent years - but he's refusing to take the snub personally as the diminutive star is "very mad at the world". Bridges admits he has been concerned for his former colleague after Coleman suffered a string of health problems, most recently being hospitalised in Los Angeles following a suspected seizure.

The actor reveals he has reached out to Coleman, but his former friend didn't want to speak to him. "I tried talking to him. But he doesn't want to communicate very much with us." So as you can see, it's quite odd that he'd be magically in possession of a somewhat recent document, since that interview was done at the end of last year and other parts from the beginning of this year….

Re: sobrietyisacrutch Also forgot to mention, I don't watch anything like Surreal Life, but I know that Bridges and Vanilla Ice were in a celeb boxing match, and Bridges won - so possibly could have been on the show as a setup/precursor or Ding! Round 2 - fight, so to speak.

i sure would like to know!

I just hope that the police do a very intense investigation into this death. This poor man deserves to rest in peace after the horrific life hand he was dealt. I think that these two were not close friends and he is just getting a few limelight moments cuz he's a has been. Just like when Michael Jackson died and Brooke Shields came out and was like oh my God we were soooooo close. Yeah right 30 years ago for like a week or so.

After they bring the paperwork out, everybody is going to shut up? Bring it already. RIP Gary.

  12. 12

his parents are pieces of shit. i wouldn't speak to them either if they stole all my money and fucked me over. they deserve shit. they don't even belong at the funeral as far as im concerned.

All I remember is reading a story some years ago about Todd Bridges "arming himself with a sword" in his home and chasing some terrified guy around with it. Remember dat? I wonder what the hell THAT was all about? No wonder he couldn't save Gary; he couldn't even save HIMSELF! And the deadly events that happened to their female co-star (Dana Plato) and her son are beyond SHOCKING! Such tragedy, just like a Shakespeare play! And I would suppose that the old man who was on that show has croaked somewhere along the way too. Gee, I feel that I've done better in my life than any of those cast members!
