Hundreds walked out of her concert in Denmark midway through, complaining about her poor performance and faltering voice. One critic in attendance wrote, "She looked and sounded like a person who doesn't have many years left to live. At the end of the show she looked like she was ready to explode."
She even went after a section of the audience when some fans booed her after she made a speech paying tribute to Michael Jackson.

I love me some old school Whitney, but I think this comeback was just ill marketed. From the get-go, it was all Whitney and "the voice" is back, as if the public was really naive to think we were really going to hear the old Whitney. Now don't get me wrong, I did like the new Whitney with the deeper, huskier, cracked voice–kind of added some some character, and it lets you know this woman has been through some shit. But while this new Whitney sounded great on CD, she just isn't going to be able to sing "I Will Always Love You" on a tour every night like she did 20 years ago.
