Rachael Ray Is Outraged After Magazine Steals Her Image

Rachael Ray is fuming after Good Housekeeping magazine decided to put her face on their July cover without her permission.

The magazine not only used images that were outtakes taken from Rachael's own magazine Every Day With Rachael Ray, but they put together quotes that Rachael had said from past interviews to create an article.

Reportedly, Good Housekeeping asked Ray to be on their cover several times, but since she appears on own her magazine every month, she refused.

A spokesperson for Every Day With Rachael Ray said:

"We are disappointed that a respected publication such as Good Housekeeping is essentially using, without permission, Rachael's image, words and thoughts in an attempt to sell a few more magazines."

The people at Good Housekeeping responded by saying, "The photo expresses her personality, and we hope the story gives readers a snapshot of her busy life, career and passion for entertaining."

How about just asking for permission first??

UM It's not going to help sales of the magazine, it's going to hinder them. Rachael Ray is fucking annoying. I can't stand her. I would NOT buy the magazine if she was on the cover, or on the inside. She is sooo annoying

Magazines do this all the time, Complete Woman is a good example–there's often some photoshopped pic of a celeb on the cover, with generic copy and quotes to make up an article inside, often times with smaller pics that are out there in the media. Also, Good Housekeeping and Ladies Home Journal will often photoshop a celeb head on to a model's body. I don't think it's right, but it is done.

Who would want that loud mouth on a cover of a magazine, aren't their better people for that job.

Don't get angry, get a lawyer. That's pretty brazen. She'd have to establish that Good Housekeeping paid other covers before her.

Why in the world would magazines do this kind of thing? I just don't get it. It's not like there aren't a billion possible things a magazine could come up with that they have to do something illegal which is also stupidly blatant and going to get them shamed and sued? That sounds like a bunch of dope addicts running the show to me.

I'm not seeing the liability here. Gossip mags do this all the time. Unless the images were copy righted… but besides that, she's shit, and I can't stand her. I never ever understood per popularity.
