The Duke's Kids Want His $$$!

| Filed under: Film FlickersLegal Matters

Lovely. We bet your father would be so proud of the way you are all acting!

Country western star John Wayne died some time ago, but he left his family, particularly his children, a hefty some of $$$ that accumulated from years of riding horseback and calling people "pilgrim".

Now, his children are feuding over his multi-million dollar estate. His daughter, Aissa Wayne, wants to sell her half of the estate to her brother, Ethan.

She filed papers yesterday, claiming that she believes her half is worth the "fair-market" price of $15,400,000. But Ethan disagrees. He insists it is only worth $10,704,000.

So now they are fighting. Don't you just feel awful for these spoiled, wealthy adults who are still living off of daddy's dime?!

    Perez, you are absolutely right!

I agree with perez, this makes me sick, kid's seem to think they have the right to their parent's money$$ when in reality, THEY DON'T!!! They should be greatful for anything their parent's give them, i'm sickened by this story!!

  3. 3

    Country western star? What?

Nothin better to do than to argue greedily over Daddy's $$$. Shameful vultures.

  6. 6

You really need a fact checker, Perez. John Wayne was a HUGE movie star of westerns and other classics. Country western star implies he was a musical performer. Tsk, tsk.

He was an actor!! Tard face!!

Ach du lieber! This is disgusting! John Wayne was one of the most legendary stars in the history of the Hollywood, and his family are now dishonoring his reputation by fighting like animals over his money. I am one to know about this: My wife is also a legendary Hollywood star und her own daughter, who has always been a nobody with no talents (like everyone else in the Hilton family), has tried to cheat her own mother Zsa-Zsa Gabor out of millions of dollars. Now for that betrayal she will get not one penny and she has become a mad old alcoholic witch and she looks like a bloated hippopotamus. Her name is Francesca Hilton but I refer to her as "die schreckliche Hexe" in German. She has been committed to the nut house twice and from what I heard recently she is going to be heading back there again. A long history of mental instability runs in the Hilton family.

    "Country western star????: :)

  10. 10

She's an attorney and he is an actor and daddy was a big time actor. Where is all the fighting … this is called a disagreement, not a family dispute. Gimmie a break!!

  11. 11

I hear you, Bellababy1. Country western star?!! When were these writers born?

  12. 12

I didn't know John Wayne sang. Was he a member of the Grand Ole Opry too?

  13. 13

I wouldn't necessarily call this a dispute over his money. John Wayne left his money to his kids. They aren't arguing that one kid should have all of the money while cutting the other one out of his will completely. They are in disagreement over the fair market value of one share of the property, which is a valid concern in ANY buyout, be it property or a business. Who would sell a house to someone below what they think is fair market value, even when it's to a family member? By the looks of things, he can pay the extra $5 million she's asking for!

You, as usual, are just trying to start shit AGAIN.

Of course they want it. The man died in 1979. An intermediary judge will assess and rule on the share's value.

    country western star???????????????????????/

  16. 16

Ummm…by the way…it is "sum" not "some."

You really should go back to school, Goo Boy.

  17. 17

WTF??? "Country western star????" DUMBASS, he was a major motion picture star!!!

  18. 18

"Country western star" WTF? He was an actor you fucking moron.

  19. 19

Now why in the he// should I feel awful for spoiled ADULTS fighting over millions of $$$$$ that they DIDN'T EARN?!?! And if you're empathizing with these brats, then you need to put down whatever you're smoking!

  20. 20

Re: avenger – agreed. i didn't really see anything wrong with this.

  21. 21

"country western star" What the fuck are you talking about Perez? John Wayne was a movie star, not a singer. Are you really that clueless?

  22. 22

Re: @v@ – why would this be the case? shouldn't she be able to set the price she wants for her property, and if he wants to pay that much he can and if not, he can go do something else? Would a judge REALLY tell her that she HAS to sell for some particular amount?

  23. 23

    Re: Bellababy1

Thank you. Same reaction. Perez, learn something.

  24. 24

Country western star? Perez you are an idiot.

  27. 27

I realize I'm not the first to comment but… Country Western Star?? Are you confusing John Wayne with Miley Cyrus again??

  28. 28

Dear God–do you not know who John Wayne was??? Country western star?? OMG…and yes, he died over 30 years ago…'some time'. There's this cool thing called Google…you might look into it for 'fact' checking.

  29. 29

First off it's not the kids fault their dad left them the money…. And one is not trying to cut the other out…. She just wants to sell her share and get a fair price….

Re: TheMrsBradPitt – If beneficiaries can't agree on a selling price, the judge will assign someone in the field to do it for them, and they'll get what they get. Say if a brother wants to keep his parents house to live in, and another brother agrees to sell his half to him, but the live-in brother says he will only pay his brother this much, but the selling brother thinks its worth more, then they're at a stalemate. With one brother refusing to move out, the other brother has to go to court and a third party will be assigned to come up with a price. If the brother living there still won't agree to pay that price to the brother selling his half, or the selling brother still doesn't agree on the price, the usual thing would be that the house would be sold out from under the one living in it to fulfill the division of assets laid down in the will.
