Charlie Sheen…Acting Coach?

Looks like Charlie won't be picking up trash on the side of the road.

Now that Charlie is eligible for work release in Aspen, he somehow got lucky and persuaded someone to give him a sweet gig working as an acting coach at the Theatre Aspen, which is a renowned professional theater.

He'll be teaching actors how to smirk and look sleazy all between the hours of 8 AM and 8 PM and then he'll have to return behind bars at night.

During his time "working," he'll still be considered an inmate in jail.

Charlie heads back to court Monday, where his work release plan will be officially submitted to the judge and then will most likely report to jail later that day.

Just as in CA, it's all who you know…and whether you have the big income. Don't tell me justice for the average joe is handed out the same way.

Um… Charlie never made fun of GaGa, so what reason do you have to dislike him?
Anyway, speaking of anything Sheen-related, everyone should watch The Cassandra Crossing. Martin Sheen, Charlie's dad, plays Ava Gardner's boy toy. It's a great disaster movie from the 1970s with Richard Harris, Sophia Loren, Burt Lancaster, and wtf OJ Simpson too!

I don't know the case well enough to say whether he should be in jail, but since when is an inmate available for work release the very first day of incarceration???? Most times it takes weeks if not months…and NEVER for a violent crime. Talk about celebrity justice.

so is he teaching them how to do drugs, bang hookers, and fuck up their careers?

So, Perez why haven't you given this woman beater a nickname?
Looks like he has a free pass. It's a well known fact that he has a history with abusing women, but for whatever reason, you don't seem to have a problem with him. It's just Chris "beat down" Brown, as you call him……hmmmm. Total hypocrisy at best.

It's obvious that FastTalker and a few others here don't understand what work release is. It's not a privledge to be earned once you're incarcerated. It's a sentencing option handed down by a judge at the time of sentencing. Work release inmates often live in separate housing from non-work release inmates that they pay for, sometimes a flat rate, sometimes a percentage of income. Inmates are required to submit paperwork regarding their employment within a certain amount of time in order to participate in work release. Many, who anticipate this sentence, already have the paperwork and can begin going to work right away. Others must produce the documents within a certain amount of days or be removed from the work release program. It may not seem fair that criminals get this option but with jail over crowding and shrinking budgets some counties have no other options. Some are even eliminating work release program in favor of tether programs which are cheaper to run.

I think that this whole entire thing is disgusting. If it wasn't Charlie Sheen would a nobody get to do this. I think not. Who found this job for him anyways. It just so happened that there was an opening in an acting coach position. BS BS BS. It is really getting sickening that all of these celebs that do what they want to do and get away with it. It's just not right.
