Funny Girl Returns To Broadway!
The show that made Barbra Streisand famous, Funny Girl, is being revived on Broadway.
Bartlet Sher will direct the six week out-of-town tryout in late 2011 in preparation for a quick Broadway transfer later in the season.
Rights owner and producer Bob Boyett said:
"I don't have any other details, or anything on locations…Nothing is really pulled together except Bart Sher. There have been a few Hollywood types who have expressed interest…but we're also open to going with an unknown actress."
So, Lea Michele?!
Can't wait to find out who they cast as the lead!

"Fun Girl" was tailor made for Streisand. Revival can only happen with that level of quality lead. There's nobody around I can think of.
