Beatles Coming To Broadway!

| Filed under: Broadway BabiesPaul McCartney

Rain is about to fall on the Great White Way.

The Neil Simon Theater will be home to a Broadway Beatles tribute come this fall. For 11-weeks, a Beatles cover band will play a revue concert called Rain — A Tribute to The Beatles on Broadway.

The show was happily welcomed to the theater after the Phantom of the Opera sequel, Love Never Dies, got pushed back to Spring 2011.

Guess they needed more time to figure out what's going wrong with it.

Here's a thought - you should have never made a sequel!!!

Still, Rain might be pretty good for the die hard fans.

Any of U think you might go?

You can see Beatles tribute bands everywhere. They should make a show in the same vein as Jersey Boys.

I would love to go! I am a huge beatles fan!

OMG-THE BEATLES ON BROADWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! uhm, 1st, broadway is $$$$$$$$$ AND 2nd, for years, they had BEATLEMANIA. Something, most people have heard of. Besides, you have PAUL-who married an idiot without a prenup, and HE can't keep his MOUTH shut…. he kind of brings the beatles down to earth… makes them, like normal guys….

why do u feel the need to put a big ass PEREZHILTON stamp on that picture? it's not like you OWN it or you TOOK it?? whats your deal dude?

Actually have seen this show. They are part of a traveling broadway series. It was pretty good. American English is the best beatles tribute band I've seen yet. It might to well if the die hard fans come out to see it.

I absolutely adore Rain! I saw them last year on tour and they are amazing! No one will ever touch the Beatles but this tribute band comes pretty dang close!

I've seen Rain before, it's pretty bad ass! I think any "size" fan will love it. They play everything from the hits to the obscure, fun for all!

I've seen rain twice and loved it. They really have the image sound and mannerisms down for each member. Great show, I'd highly recommend it to any beatles fan…even the die hards will like it. The guys are really talented musicians!

I've seen Rain, they're amazing. The guy playing Paul actually sounds and looks like him. Nothing beats the original, and never will, but for a superfan it's pretty awesome to see

I have been catching RAIN shows for years- most recently in Denver when I went to 6 of their 8 shows :P They are AMAZING and I recommend for any Beatles fans in NYC to go see the performance!!!

Rain is amazing. It's not just a Beatles tribute. It's more. You feel like your seeing the real band. Broadway is lucky.

"die hard fans"? perez, what planet are you from? oh wait, you answered that question with the help of those one-hit wonders the Vengaboys…

  14. 14

umm do you have something against the beatles for some reason? they were/are the most famous band in all of history… i don't think only die hards are going to want to see it. every time you post something about them there are negative undertones…

I've seen Rain twice in Charlotte and they are the best! Their mannerisms and dedication to the music of The Beatles is great. Every note and guitar riff is right on. They even use vintage guitars. We'll be in NYC in December and plan to se "The Million Dollar Quartet" if it's still running, otherwise we'll see Rain.

My Beatles music professor went to it before, i dunno if he's been to em all, but he loves it! and invited us students, but I didn't go then. Before taking this class, I wasn't really a Beatles fan, but after the class, OMFG i LOVE THE BEATLES!!!! :D i can only appreciate them this much because I've learned of their development in styles, in brotherhood, and of course the music itself. I mean, can you believe that I would love singing "I am the Walrus" ? he even gave me all their music on mp3s and so I can listen to Beatles at my own pleasure :D whoever gets a chance in their lifetime, take this class!!!! :D

  18. 18

    No they aren't!!!!
    Half of them are dead

I saw Rain, a traveling broadway series, in Toronto. LOVED IT.

It can't be worse than that "Across The Universe" fiasco.

With all of pop band musicals out there now why hasn't there been a Beatles Musical?
