She's got a new gig!
Well…Star Jones had to eventually come up with a way to get back at Barbara and former View castmates, whom she described as “hateful” after abruptly quitting the show back in 2006.
The tv-host turned author is set to release a book about a fictional tv show, The Lunch Club.
And it gets even better!
In the book, the hosts "learn that a former colleague — who departed under mysterious circumstances, and is privy to all their backstage secrets - is coming back with a splash.”
Doesn’t this sound a little much like Jones’ experience as a host on The View???

Star Jones had the chance to redeem herself on her own Court TV show. It was in the ratings basement and died quickly. She got millions for it, but she proved herself to be a poor interviewer, a weak hostess, and the show was crappily put-together. It was amateur hour–literally.
Now she's still trying to get back at people. She should direct her gaze inward. Why did she knowingly marry a gay man and expect it to work out? Why did she mislead the public about the role of "diet and exercise" in her stunning weight loss? Why did she, a lawyer who should know a thing or two about ethics, accept so many freebies and gratuities?
No, this book will not be anything more than an attempt to settle scores.
At least you don't see Rosie O'Donnell writing a book bashing her former co-workers.
She needs to gain the weight back, her head is fuckin huge, mmmmkayyyyyy!

Star wasn't in her inner circle and after reading Barbara's book, there are no secrets. Star can only hope to achieve a pinch of what Barbara Walters has sustained and achieved. Haha, she would not come clean to her View audience with the truth about her weight loss - pilates and salads indeed?!! She will never come clean in this book. It will be the ususal bumf - oh this is a work of complete fiction, any resemblence to a living soul is not intentional! Hmm, she can shove her book and get right back to obscurity for all most of us care!
God it's like high school. I expect crap like this from the cast of the Hills or Jersey Shore, but she is a grown woman and an attorney she needs to act like it. If you want to write a book write something useful. I wish celebrities would just grown up and act like the adults they should be.

The View refused to renew her contract is why she announced she was quitting early & surprised the show when she did it. Starr used the show to advertise companies that donated to her wedding and made the sponsors mad. Star also lost fans per Barbara Walters who Starr blames for not saving her job.Starr was a terrible host at an awards show, her own show was boring,and she did not fare well on her short gig on The Insider. The single chubby Starr seemed to do better than the slim Starr.

A "fictional" book with inside digs at former co-stars. Another has-been Hollywood type did this recently: Victoria Rowell, formerly of The Young & the Restless. It's always the fired crazy ones that do these types of "fictional" books.
