Russell Simmons threw a fundraiser for the Eagle Academy for Young Men and guests noticed ropes surrounding his art works which was perplexing until Russell explained what had happened two weeks prior.
Apparently he had a big party and one of his guests had partially erased a chalkboard drawing by artist Gary Simmons valued at $100,000!

Russell is in talks with Gary Simmons to fix the work of art.
We bet that guest feels pretty stoopid!

There is no such thing as chalkboard art worth $100,000. I'm guessing this chalkboard artist never sold a piece of chalkboard art for more than $50.

The artist should have sprayed it with a matte finish so it looked the same, but wouldn't allow it to be erased at the drop of a hat. Dumb ass.
Looks like Russell Simmons' party guests IQ's are in the Mensa range, much like those who are commenting on this post thus far. What did you expect, Russ? That your friends would have an understanding and appreciation of real art (no matter what form it may take)? You and your brother are probably the only people in your immediate circle who can keep their ADHD under control long enough to complete a thought, let alone keep from destroying anything of value in their near proximity. Better luck next time. Until then, keep the artwork separate from your fools and followers.
No, the ones who should feel stupid are the idiots who call that art and those who would pay that kind of money for it. Also the idiot so called artist who considers chalk and board art. At least spray it with some sort of varnish or fixative to keep it nice. I mean really you have to move that piece of trash how did they think the chalk would not get messed up? You don't have to be smart to be rich unfortunately.
