Hmmm.

HBO is developing a comedy based on the non-fiction book Thanks For Coming: A Young Woman's Quest For An Orgasm.

In the book, Mara Altman, a former staff writer for The Village Voice, chronicles her experiences as a single 26-year-old woman in New York who never had an orgasm and starts on a journey to get one.

Some women have a very hard (or impossible) time reaching orgasm. It does not come as easy as a man's orgasm. Some women will never have an orgasm in their lives no matter how hard they try. It's NOT as easy as picking up a vibrator, and for all of you men who believe that I feel sorry for your wives/girlfriends.

And for those of you who wonder why a 26 year old never had an orgasm, female sexuality/pleasure is far more complicated than male's, and it can take a while for some women to reach that goal. Happened to a friend of mine, and she was no prude. She had sex with guys for a long time before she reached the big O, because she finally met the right guy.

Wow this sounds like a lot like Shortbus. Two things could either happen with this series: 1) she has an orgasm in the first season, causing proceeding seasons to lack purpose 2) she does not have an orgasn in the first season, causing people to become bored and the show being cancelled.

Not sure if this show has enough substance to last.
