We want Johnny Weir on Dancing With The Stars — and it just might happen!

Johnny reveals:

“I hope [I’m going to do Dancing With the Stars]. I met Karina Smirnoff a few weeks ago and she was like, ‘Johnny, you are the perfect height for me. Let’s dance.’ So…it’s on. I’ve chosen my partner, I’m ready.”

So is Karina up for it? Sounds like it! She adds:

“I’m a big fan of Johnny. His heart, his guts, he’s got balls in every routine and I love that. I think for Dancing With the Stars, you gotta have not only determination, but you gotta have that drama, that deeper side of you, and Johnny has it! I’m rooting for him to be on the next season of Dancing With the Stars.”

Us, too! And we think Karina would make a great partner for Johnny.

    I might actually watch DWTS if Johnny was on it. And after catching a few shows with Evan last time before finally tuning out I think Johnny would be 100 percent better then Evan. Johnny is as graceful as a ballerina. He would be great at dancing.

    Karina just wants back on DWTS. After last season and what a bitch she was when she broke up with Maks (whom everyone likes better), they didn't let her on this season because she couldn't play nice. We'll see if they let her back- but I bet there's a better partner for Johnny.

    I must weigh in….ice skating IS dancing on ice!
    Obviously these people are performers and have experience performing for large crowds. They don't have to battle any hints of shyness.
    Second they are accustomed to learning choreographed dances. Some people just can't learn steps no matter how much they try. Takes memory and flexibility and fluidity of movement which they have already mastered.
    Singers who do choreographed moves and ice skaters should not be permitted on the show(DWTS)…it's cheating. These people already have skills that the competition has to master.

    Whether Johnny Weir appears on DWTS or not has nothing to do with Evan Lysacek, or any comments JW made which were in response to comments Evan had already made about him. It would be nice to see a skater who has no formal dance training but is known for being artistic and graceful on the ice appear on this show. It doesn't matter whether you have dance experience anyway, what they do on this show takes a tremendous amount of work and training and is different from what most of the contestants with any dance experience are used to.

    I don't think that anyone with any other kind of experience like skating, music, etc. should be allowed on DWTS. Look who won this year, she had alot of music video experience and the 2nd one was a skater. This is not fair to all the other contestants with NO other kind of experience. If next years competition is the same as this year with ppl with some sort of music background I will not waste my time watching anymore.

His psycho-fans are already planning to flood the voting lines with multiple mass votes for him, and the judges will be afraid to criticize him lest he play the gay card. He will be awarded unfair high marks because he'll run all over the talk show circuit crying 'GAY BASHING!' otherwise. If Johnny Weir is chosen–JOHNNY WEIR WILL WIN. PERIOD. The other contestants might as well not even bother, and the audience might as well not even watch because the outcome is already known.
