Jenny McCarthy The Next Daytime Diva?!

| Filed under: Jenny McCarthyOprah Winfrey

She's getting a hell of a start!

A spokesperson for Harpo Productions confirmed that Oprah Winfrey is looking to give Jenny McCarthy her own talk show!

The development deal is still in the early stages, but the spokeswoman for Harpo said the pair are "exploring possibilities across a number of platforms."

We hear Jenny is slated to have a talk show similarly formatted to Oprah's, but there is no word yet whether the show will air on another network or Oprah's own OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network.)

She certainly is an interesting choice for a host. Hopefully, the deal comes through for her! We think she could do a lot of good with a platform like this!

I think she would do a wicked job!!

  2. 2

Jenny was awesome on Singled Out!

  3. 3

A lot of good?!? Really Perez? What can she do? Convince people not to vaccinate their children? You sound so ignorant sometimes it's really astonishing.

  4. 4

Because why nurture Black talent when your millions can be used to promote the likes of Jenny McCarthy?

  5. 5

    Bad idea Oprah.

  6. 6

I bet this doesn't pan out. Jenny's the one who was out there saying that childhood vaccines may cause autism - totally unproven and very dangerous statement. I personally like her and hope it does work out. But I think the scientific community is going to go apeshit and Oprah will back away from the controversy.

  7. 7

Uh-uh…..Jenny's cool and all, but I definitely hope she doesn't get it. She's just not relatable at all.

  8. 8

"We think she could do a lot of good with a platform like this!"

You think so? Perhaps she will continue to convince frightened parents to skip those life saving vaccines for their children! Nothing like reducing herd immunity and being proud of it. Yeah, old Jenn could do a lot for all of us…

  9. 9

Please no. We don't need another outlet for her to try to convince people to endanger their children's lives by not getting them vaccinated. The doctor was proven to be a wack yet she still believes.

  10. 10

Yes, I believe that as I even thought it myself. Jenny is a beautiful, intelligent women and comes across as strong, confident and even better genuine. I see a bright future for Jenny!!!

Re: WatcherOne – "lifesaving vaccines" Polio has been eradicated in the U.S., no one dies from measles or chicken pox in first world countries like the U.S. "lifesaving indeed…

  12. 12

does no one remember what a skank she was? not to mention how batsh1t crazy she is? is she supposed to be the new angelina? a who2re turned saint?

  13. 13

Re: kate198 – My thoughts exactly! So she can spread hysteria and misinformation about vaccines that have saved millions. What medical or nursing school did she attend anyway - Playboy University of Medicine?

  14. 14

Re: mom2boys – Umm…Polio is eradicated in the US BECAUSE of a vaccine. And people still get it in other countries and we live in a world that is global now and people can get from one part of the world to the other in a matter of hours. Furthermore, there are other vaccines like measles, mumps, and rubella that are STILL NECESSARY for children.
So please do not encourage this woman or give her a talk show.

  15. 15

Re: Krista66 – No Krista. She is an obnoxious loudmouth who talks over people and gets into hysterics. She may be beautiful but she is not intelligent.

  16. @v@ says – reply to this

She should take this opportunist I mean opportunity and run with it.

  17. 17

Re: Into The Nightlife – I appreciate your opinion. However, vaccination issue put aside and that entire situation is also an opinion as there is no tangible evidence to suggest it does or does not cause autism - I like Jenny and I believe she is very passionate and I did not choose to use the word educated and instead went with intelligent and I'll add interesting.

  18. 18

Like Jenny McCarthy, but she and Oprah are not in the same stratum…sorry.

  19. 19

Good she could do? She's an ex-Playmate/gameshow host who really has no accomplishments and sounds like an airheadin interviews. And she's pushing dangerous scientifically debunked theories as indisputable truth. Keep this woman away from TV.

  20. 20

Re: mom2boys – Stop vaccinating against polio and just watch how fast it comes back! And children certainly can and do die from measles in "first world" (industrialized) nations. It is a very small number (because of vaccinations)and outbreaks occur in small unimmunized pockets, but how many deaths are acceptable to you?
Or forget deaths, what about blindness, encaphalitis, pnuemonia–all complications of measles.
Don't substitute the truth for fuzzy logic and shoddy science.

  21. 21

Jenny should def have a show of her own. She is entertaining and also down to earth. I think she will be great…I'd watch!!

  22. 22

  23. 23

Awesome! Do it To it Jenny!

  24. 24

    Re: Carlops54 – agreed! :)

last time i had shots was when i was 5. i'm doing great :) no health problems.

  25. 25

day time doesn't hqave enough 'bleeppssss" for Jen

  26. 26

I love Jenny and I would tune in everyday that she doesn't talk about AUTISM!!

  27. 27

How RACIST is it to just immediately jump to.."somebody BLACK has to replace Oprah!!" WHY????

  28. 28

I think she'll do a pretty good job as a host for a daytime tv show but no one can replace Oprah!

  29. 29

My question to parents who are against vaccinating their children, why are the #s SO different between males and females with Autism? If it's a cause of the vaccines why aren't males and females affected equally? Could it be that the onset of the disease is coincidentally in queue with the vaccine schedule?

  30. 30

Oh dear God, I hope not. I can't stand her. She'll be pissing and moaning and annoying.

  31. 31

I think if she gave Gayle King a show…it would be fantastic. She'll be like the next Oprah

  32. balls says – reply to this

  33. 33

Re: balls – You add such insight to every issue on this site!

  34. 34

Why would anyone take her opinions as truth? She has her opinion about vax just like everyone else. I would hope that people would look in to the matter and actually do some research before deciding what's best for their kids instead of just listening to her. My kids had all their shots so I'm not worried about those that don't.

  35. 35

I sure hope it's true. Jenny McCarthy is a rare person…beautiful lady with a killer sense of humor. I wish she was a friend of mine. I wouldn't even mind that she's so much prettier than me!

  36. 36

Re: caroaber – fuck off racist

  37. 37

Re: Into The Nightlife – If a show happens it will be a
complete failure. She should stick to taking her clothes off something she`s
inexperienced at.Can`t stand the loudmouth witch!!

  38. 38

what the fuck ever…..jenny is only good at crude humor, no one will take her seriously enough to replace Oprah…DUH!!!!

  39. 39

hell yeah i love her!! I would totally watch!

  40. 40

    Perfect choice!! She's hillarious!!

  41. 41

Re: Krista66 – I understand that there is no correlation for, or against, vaccines and autism, however the facts are as followed: children receive their vaccines at the same age that signs of autism begin to show, and while there is no correlation either way vaccines DO save lives. The vaccines children receive keep them safe from debilitating diseases, that in North America, we are blessed enough to have eradicated. Without these vaccines things like polio would still be prevalent today! And the same children that Jenny McCarthy insists she's helping are most effected by polio, which can lead to paralysis and death. I'm not saying that Jenny McCarthy doesn't believe in what she's saying, and yes she has a right to state her opinion. The thing is she has no proof that vaccines cause autism, and as a mother of an autistic child her own pain and struggle may be clouding her judgment, she could just need someone or something to blame, and unfortunately she's picked something that, as of now, has not been proven to cause autism… but does save countless lives.
