Ever since the release of Stephenie Meyer's concluding novel in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn, Twi-Hards all over the world have been speculating about how the hell they're going to adapt MANY of the unnecessarily long, poorly plotted and 'what the fuck' moments of the shiteous book onto screen!
Melissa Rosenberg, the poor screenwriter who has taken on the impossible task of trying to make the books into comprehensible, tolerable films, recently talked about the notorious 'birthing' sequence and how she's going to approach it for the movie!
She says:
On the fan site, on Facebook, all the comments are "It has to be R rated! You have to show the childbirth! Gore and guts and sex!" For me it's actually more interesting to not see it. You know, you can do childbirth without seeing childbirth … it doesn't mean it's any less evocative of an experience.

The baby is in..hmmm… don't know the word, but like a casing (?) that he has to rip open with his teeth, due to the toughness of it. I'm pretty sure Perez (or whoever does his blog these days) has never read any of these books and relies solely on summaries he's read online, or perhaps what other people have told him. If you don't like the books, fair enough, but at least know what you're talking about before you criticize it…especially if you're just going by the movies, which are really awful.

All you people are stupid!!! There was no C-Section. The baby literally exploded out of her stomach and she died from that and too much blood loss. The only way to save her was for Edward to turn her into a vampire and he did so by stabbing her in the heart with a syringe filled with his venom. He never bit her because he didn't A) He didn't want her to have a bite scar and, B) He wanted to see if it effected the transformation process. Maybe speed it up at all since it was introduced directly into the heart. I'm so embarassed I know all this stuff, but the rest of you sound silly.

The whole birth is a HUGE scene, you can't just skip over that kind of stuff. Besides the sex scenes I think this is definitely a scene the twilight fans want to see.

Why is everyone so worked up about the sex scenes? There weren't any in the book so why would you expect them in the movie? I guess I can see why some people might want the gory birth scene (no idea wtf Perez is talking about…Edward didn't eat the baby out of Bella.) but I personally wish they'd leave Renesme out of it all together. There's no way this teeny bopper crap is going to be rated R. They won't show anything gory for the birth scene and the sex scene is going to be fade-to-black just like the book. The most they MIGHT show is some 'side boob' from Kristen when she and Edward make love, but that's about it. IF they even show that. They'll probably just show close ups of them kissing. BORING! For everyone saying tha baby ate itself out of Bella-YOU ARE WRONG. The baby was taken out of her via c-section and the amniotic sac was torn open by Edward's teeth. The baby could not have even bitten it's way out because the placenta had detached and the baby was suffocating/dying. Edward did a c-section, then opened the sac with his teeth, then injected Bella's heart with his venom, then proceeded to bite her in various places. Then Jacob gave up on the CPR and Edward continued with it himself. Renesmee did, indeed bite Bella, as well.

He makes a cut, then uses his teeth for the womb to get the baby out quick. The book explains all this.
