Snoop Dogg Banned From Netherlands Festival

Snoop Dogg has just been dropped like he was hot from the Parkpop festival in the Netherlands for not being "family-friendly" enough.

The organizers announced the news via their website this morning, explaining that they are seeking a new headliner for the gig, one who is a more "open and friendly character".

The event touts itself as the largest, free family festival in Europe and we could see why the promoters would worry about keeping things clean, but we don't think they are giving Snoop enough credit.

We think the Dogg could have certainly reeled things in for an evening! Should have at least given him a chance!

Oh wait, weed is legal in the Netherlands, isn't it? We know how much Snoop loves to get his chronic on.

Never mind. Good decision.

PERVERT HILTON NEEDS TO BE PROSECUTED. HIS SITE IS THE WORST FORM OF CYBERBULLYING OUT THERE!

This sucks, I like Snoop Dogg, he's a nice friendly person (his music sucks though imo). Schaam je den Haag!!

    Anyway, rip Michael Jackson (Killuminati!)

  3. 3

TOLERATED. not (!!) LEGAL! And the same goes for prostitution! omg our government is doing a poor job in busting these myths.. We tolerate drugs & prosititution under strict rules, it's call REGULATING. The hippies-era has passed a long time ago..

  4. 4

they couldn't figure out before booking a (retired?) gansta rapper that smokes weed isn't family friendly………

  5. 5

    stupid!
they should think about their cramped axioms before they invite & announce him!

  6. 6

    Re: S88 – nevertheless you are a part of the perez-posse …

  7. 7

just because he has a family, it doesn't mean that he is a family guy, never liked his "music", but whatever, is not like he is crying his ass off over this….

  8. 8

Lets be clear: Weed is illegal in the Netherlands but is tolerated in small quantities and only in certain areas like coffee shops.

  9. 9

shouldnt they have figured this out before the booked him?

  10. 10

It's not legal in Holland. Stop believing what FOX news tells you. WEED AND PROSTITUTION ARE JUST TOLERATED NOT LEGAL…..

PS. S88, by saying that you are now a cyberbully!!!!!

  11. 11

He was the only reason I was going to attend! Well, f*ck you then parkpop and all the shitty performers that are going to perform!

  12. 12

Re: xoxo_anonymous – we think entirely to much alike……..

What? Snoop Dogg coaches his son's football team. His charity work is a looong list; all they had to do was search Snoop Dogg's charity work, events and causes. It's their loss. He may like the ganja, but he doesn't hide the fact, and he's a really decent guy. Someone didn't do their homework, imo.

I'd stack Snoop's list of altruistic benevolence up against any of the festival organizers. What a world.

  21. 21

Hmmm…. the UK allowed Snoop a visa to play T in the Park this year, didn't they? Strange.

  22. 22

oh please!! family friendly?! those festivals are always packed with potheads and stoners!! lol what a bullshit! whahah

Re: PixieCullen – You are so right. Do they think their pop festival goers all come unaltered with only their granola bars and green tea? (Eyes wide shut.) Snoop would have brought in major gate, and he behaves these days.

  24. 24

snoop is a sweetheart. well, it's YOUR LOSS netherlands.
and might i add the netherlands has an ASSLOAD of nerve talking about family friendly - HOW FAMILY FRIENDLY IS YOUR PRECIOUS BABY, JORAN VAN DER SLOOT????

    GO GAGA GO

  26. 26

DECRIMINALIZED!!!!! The Netherlands is an awesome place and the US should really consider modeling after them. As an American and ganga friendly person, I loved The Netherlands :D

  27. 27

Good decision? That is a country that legalizes pot AND prostitution. How is axing Snizzle a good decision?! BOO!!

  28. 28

There goes my reason to go to that festival! So stupid of The Hague. They should've thought about it before they booked him.

  29. 29

    Re: tigrrrlilly
I'm a dutch 20 year old girl and i seriously don't see the point into comparing this shit with that asshole of a Joran!
i'd love to see him rot in jail, and i hope that death penalty is an option (even tho over here we don't have it)
i just hope that he fesses up about natalee! her family has suffered enough

the fact that snoop isn't allowed is just because the organizers are scared of what might happen, considering something that happened during a festival not that long ago!
besides… he's not the only one who's not gonna be there… right now it looks like Parkpop is… well… dead
