Holy Hell, Harry Potter!

What you are looking at are aerial shots of the entrance to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

The official opening of the park was Friday morning and thousands, upon thousands of loyal fans arrived in droves to be a part of the big day.

We are just in awe! We once said we'd wait about a year to go and check it out, but we think it might take that long for the guy at the end of the line to finally get it!

Crazy! Potterheads are insane!

But that's devotion if we've ever seen it.

CLICK HERE to see DanRad and his ginger friend open the park officially!

Any of U planning to go anytime soon?

I love me some Harry Potter, but F that shiz! No way I would wait in line like that.

    2. 2

LOL it's going to take about a year for anyone to see anything if it is that bad. The premiere of the Kumba, Montu, and Sheikra had a ton of people but this is even more crazy than that crowd was.

    3. 3

I LIVE in Orlando and have Annual Universal Passes. You couldn't pay me to stand in that heat, we're averaging a heat index over 100 degrees, and I love Harry Potter.

    4. 4

PotterHeads will always outdo Twihards ha!

Its really nice to see that Daniel was so nice to all of his fans, they were so cute. What a great guy. I am interested to see it, I love the books and the movies, but I wouldn't make a special trip to just see that park. It will have to wait until I take my son to Orlando to Disney and Universal.

    6. 6

I heard that Disney World plans on opening the exact replica of Michael Jackson's Neverland in Orlando,Florida.I believe Michael Jackson had more fans than Harry Potter.

    7. 7

That has to be over a couple of tons worth of people standing on that walk bridge.

    8. 8

I have to wait till next year at least to go, but even if I could havemade it on Friday, I wouldn't have sat through that. I read it was like a 9 hour wait, and today they had to leat people in early to try and accomodate them.
I'm only jealous of the 1st graders who got to go in with Daniel and the cast, because I've been reading Harry Potter since before they were born. But kudos to the fans who made it in.

    9. 9

this is ridiculous hopefully it's not like this when I go in november.

potter heads will always out do prezs heads

What is most amazing about Radcliffe is the transformation from the shy young child in David Copperfield to the super confident young man of today. In the process he has lost a lot of his diffident charm, but I suppose you can't stay innocent and charming forever. Still seems to be a nicer guy than most movie stars by far.

It has been so hot here (I live about 20-30 mins from Universal), those people must have been dying standing there so long!! You could not pay me enough money to be in a crowd like that, standing on concrete in nearly 100 degree weather. Nope! No way!!

    13. 13

i went when i got off of work around 7pm and i waited in line for an hour and a half just to get into the AREA of the wizarding world. I thenw waited another 2 hours to ride the new ride. Sooooo worth it! It was amazing. Great technology, very fast paced and fun. If you're a fan, you should go. My only complaint is that the stores are too small, but they themed it to match the real stores in the movie. The line for the wand store was at least 2 hours.

TWILIGHT CAN NEVER COMPARE TO HARRY POTTER, HARRY POTTER IS A LEGENDARY CLASSIC, TWILIGHT IS A TREND FOR RETARDED 12 YR OLD GIRLS

    15. 15

Re: Diva-Babe – Stop trying to make it about Twilight. That has nothing to do with this post.

    16. 16

Re: kizzy – you too. This has nothing to do with Twilight. You obviously are at heart a little obsessed fan girl/boy.

    17. 17

I want to gooo! :( But holy crap, thats a lot of people.

    18. 18

      Hell ya im going.

    19. 19

    20. 20

They secretly opened it on June 15th when I was at Universal. Some of the rides had 5 min waits. It was pretty sweet. I wouldn't go NEAR it now though! Butterbeer was amazing.

I was there. I live 20 minutes away from Universal with an annual pass. My friends and I woke up at 4 AM and got there just before the parking opened at 5:15; We were no where near the beginning of the line and didn't get to see the celebs. We had to wait 2 hours outside of IOA before they let us in and then another 3 hours to get into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Yes, we Potterheads and insane and dedicated. And we LOVE IT!

    22. 22

thats awesome i love harry potter. at least that series is good unlike that gay twilight shit only tween girls and gheys love

    23. 23

That would be awesome!!! Sometime my friends and I will have to go. We are huge Potterheads!

    24. 24

Re: lauramichellex3 – I'm also going in November, one can only hope just under 5 months of it being open will calm the crowds.

    25. 25

I was there!!!!!!! It was AH-MAZING!!!! I got there at 5am and the park didn't open til 10am, I was very close to the front of the line so I got in the park around 10:30ish. It was AWESOME!!! SO WORTH THE WAIT!

    26. 26

I will definitely be visiting that theme park!
I'll probably go in like.. April though..

    27. 27

Taking my two kids and Husband in August for this. Can't wait.

    28. 28

      I'll be there on Wednesday!!!!! :o )

    29. 29

      wow that looks like madness!

    30. 30

Seriously, wait until December or sometime in January. And go during the week when everyone is in school and working. The weather is cooler and there are less crowds. That's when I go to Disney. I live in Orlando and the heat here is unbearable. I'm surprised no one has passed out or died out there yet.

we went and saw it June 10- it was open. I have some great pics. There is no way in HELL I would wait in line that long. There are three rides: the harry potter ride in the castle, which was awesome, a new kiddy roller coaster, the third ride- they took dueling dragons, moved the entrance and changed the name to challenging dragons, so not a new ride. Although Potter world was not packed, all the stores in there were PACKED FULL. wanted 29 dollars for a wand… I wonder how many people walked in this hot florida heat with capes on!

    38. 38

i thought that was a line for people who wanted to slap perez hilton???? my bad

    39. 39

Id love to go but that looks kinda scary.

    40. 40

I WAS THERE! I waited a total of eight hours, and it was well worth it! AMAZING!

    41. 41

Damn right we're devoted. I'm going in July.

    42. 42

i was there on Monday and luckily got in on a soft opening and it was AMAZING :) i started reading harry potter when i was in 2nd grade and am now in my 20s and still enjoyed buying a wand and all the other potter gear. so lucky that i didn't even wait to go in the actual park or wait for any of the rides. if your a potterhead it is defiently worth the trip :)

    43. 43

WOW! I can't wait to go!!! I think it would be fun to stand in line with thousands of Potter fans, but the Florida heat would make it really difficult. At least those people got to go! I want to go SO BAD!!!!

    44. 44

damn gina.. thats a whole lot of people!!!

    45. 45

cant wait to go in august wohoo

    46. 46

JK Rowling must own a small country by now. Dayum.

    47. 47

oh geez…were going on wednesday. my husband is playing in a golf tournament during the day so i'll be there late afternoon, i hope the line doesnt look like this!

    48. 48

      Re: Chachi83 – me too!!!

    49. 49

I really want to go, but i'll have to save up to pay for the flights from London! I think they should have built it in the UK because Harry Potter is English!! I can't imagine Harry Potter land in the Florida sunshine, it should be cold and rainy to make it more atmospheric. Although that probably wouldn't be much fun.

    50. 50

Holy shit I love Harry Potter!!!!!!!!!!!

    51. 51

Lmfao @ Dan ' Hello everybody at the back'.

I cannot wait to go here. My childhood would not have been the same with HP!!!

    52. 52

alright perez. never ever lettme hear you say the words holy and hell like that again. you hear me?

    53. 53

As parents we are always looking for something new to entertain our kids and get them away from the video games, so I can understand the Potter-World frenzy. But there is no way we would go on opening day. We'll wait until November/December and take out kids out of school for a day.

    54. 54

      "his ginger friend"?
wow perez I smell a restraining order not alowing u mention "someone's " name in print

    55. 55

what is wrong w/these people? WAIT for crying out loud!!!

    56. 56

wierd i was looking at this days ago n ot going to that climate and alot of people.

    57. 57

I was there. 6 hours JUST to get into the Potter area. 1 hour for a Butterbeer. 3 hours for Ollivander's. 2 hours to get into Hogwarts. It was all totally worth it.

    58. 58

I could have gone, and I wish I did… but looking at those lines makes me not regret my decision nearly as much.

      One day, though. One day.
