Celebs Help Out The Gulf!

At least someone is doing something about this!
Last night, Larry King held a telethon on CNN to raise funds for three amazing charities who are providing aid in the Gulf. The spill has left a lot of people and wildlife stranded and the money that was raised last night will surely be put to good use.
Helping Larry out was a slew of celebs including Ryan Seacrest, Nicole Richie, Kathy Griffin, Ian Somerhalder, Chelsea Handler, Sam Trammell and Ke$ha! Look, she washed her face…sort of!
In total, the telethon raised over $1.3 million for the oil spill relief! Fantastic!
If you didn't donate last night, make sure to look into ways to help the relief effort in anyway you can. This spill is devastating and anything you can give or do will be much appreciated.
Bravo to the celebs who donated their time and talent to such an important cause!

#Awesome!!
god i love bp
i kid i kid
but i'm proud be british
and may i just say one thrid of this problem was caused by an AMERICAN company, texas to be precise
and you don't see them clearing up the oil
way to turn the oil spill into a hollywood event…=\
or 'celebs' who wanted their pic taken.
first - awesome news that they're raising money for the gulf.
second - you know something is wrong when larry king looks half as big as ryan seacrest. eat a cheeseburger, old man.
Do they really care about this? Or do they know how big thing this is? Well, at least they're helping which is a good thing.
are you stupid perez? there ARE organizations coming out to volunteer to help with the oil spill. they're busting their buts to help the animals, and clean up the beaches. you're just not doing your research. you only give them credit if there is a paparazzi present or an a-lister involved.
the government deregulates those companies, they don't care about anything and now what? are we supposed to pull the tab again just like we were obligated with the bail out???? fuck that shit!!!!
By the way, Kathy Griffin got this outfit from her mother's closet, blehh….
why not collect a half a mil each from all the grossly overpaid athletes, actors, and entertainers out there instead of waiting for donations from us little people who can't afford to pay our own bills.
How much do these butthole celebrities who answer the phones at these telethons contribute to the cause?
Come on dickheads, put your money where your big inflated botoxed mouths are…don't buy that $4,000 purse this week..hold off on this week's steroid or coke purchase…donate it to the oil spill fund!
I have to admit that while I would have no problem doing actual manual labor to help out, and have already applied to do so, I have a problem giving money as it reduces the amount of money that BP has to pay. As a company that gives it's execs multi-million dollar bonuses and makes billions per year they have the money to pay for their fuck up. Unlike the people of Haiti who have nothing and the fuck up was caused by nature not greed. I'm sorry that people think the celebs should be doing more but why isn't BP doing more it's their mess.
I would gladly donate if it was to a charity that BP was forced to repay when the numbers came in. I would expect to be repaid, but the charity should get it back to use for another crisis.
bp is already paying billions for everything, what the hell are these celebs going to do with the $1.3 mill?? … COKE PARTY!!!!
I'm sorry, but is that Kesha…looking all clean?
I think it is so funny how all these famous people come together and they ONLY raised 1.3 million!!!!
Finally…. I don't really know if money is what we need right now. What I want to see is them go down to the Gulf, have a crawfish boil, and get themselves dirty and help with the physical cleanup, then foot BP the bill for their services. All of BPs money isn't as of yet getting the oil out of the Gulf and off the beaches.
Re: trinigirl123 – Wow! It is her, isn't it? I didn't recognize her when I first looked at this post. (Not to say she is dirty or whatever).
I am so sick of people not helping or donating just because this was a man made disaster. Where the hell is Brad Pitt, he invested so much time there when he wanted recognition and name saving after he fucked HOlie. So what that BP has billions of $$$$$$$$. People are hurting and animals are suffering. This will affect all of us at some point.
Average Americans shouldn't be donating anything. Make the oil companies clean up their own mess.
So sad, None of these people care about it. Notice it's all D-Listers. It's sad because their agent came up to them and said "Hey theres a telethon for the gulf -YOU- need exposure there will be press there" "Oh jesus fine oook"
They are doing it purely for frigging publicity. They are overpaid and talentless. They want donations from people that can't afford to get by, but yet these retards will leave there and go buy a 10,000 outfit. BP has enough money to clean their mess up. They should do it. Donating to Haiti and whatnot is different. BP makes billions, Their fault, Their responsibility.
Hey folks, I agree that BP is responsible for this clean up not the people of America. But don't forget, we all create the need for oil, by driving around in big ass trucks, and relying on things like PLASTIC which create the demand for all of this oil in the first place. We all have a responsibility here, to shift our thinking, STOP being such ridiculous consumers, and leave a beautiful, clean, oil and trash free earth for future generations. PEACE!
Re: trinigirl123 – Exactly! I'm sitll not convinced it's her lol…
$1.3 Million won't even pay to fix Kathy's botched facial plastic surgery disaster!
KESHA HAS OIL IN HER FUCKIN HAIR U BLINDFUCK!!! LOLOLOLOL
Ugh. Why would i want to help pay for BP's mess?
Telethons are a joke.
The money is going to the United Way which will squander the money on "Counseling" the victims by telling them they do not qualify for any help!
Don't forget the US arm of BP used to be called Amoco, which dumped millions of barrels of crude on European beaches when the "Amoco Cadiz" broke up off Brittany. Obama called "BP", "British Petroleum", he was very wrong. "BP" is the result of a merger between "British Petroleum" and "Amoco". 40% of the shares are owned in Europe, 39% are owned in the USA. It is the "Amoco" side that has been responsible for all the catastrophes.
" has left a lot of people and wildlife stranded"…
Wildlife, yes - but people? I haven't heard of anyone being "stranded" due to the oil spill… how could this be?I know that people along the gulf are having breathing issues and sickness due to the chemical dispersants and Benzene, but it's mostly affecting clean up workers that are exposed for hours at a time. To which there are mobile health units and the red cross to help. Even if you are living in a beach front property along the gulf, you would still be able to live in your residence… just pointing out a badly worded post…
Anyway, I wonder if any of the celebs contributed any of their millions? …
Re: italianvenus – A whole lot of families and people have lost their livelihood. Stranded without a means of survival.
Re: NookiesWA – actually, ian somerhalder has been very vocal/active about this since everything first happened, so safe to say he's not doing it for publicity
Re: NookiesWA – well said.
what an ugly green dress
@bren-brens Texas is not an American company you idiot it's a state. I bet you do love BfukinP

Re: TranquilMarzipan – i agree. i don't know what we need other than people willing to support clean up efforts. seeing our beaches, fishing, and tourism industries ruined is horrific. watching the local news and having an oil forcast along with the weather forcast is horrific. tellling my child that our once beautiful beaches are no longer safe is horrific. i do know that the people of the gulf coast are doing what we can to fix this disaster. we can't do this alone though.
I want to fuck Ian sooooooo badly.
Re: BBBaby07 – Well said. Do it for the people and pets hurting. If this happened in their town they would want help.
Phaha… when it is time to talk about global problems Lady Gaga isn't there. I don't understand why "little monsters" love her. BITCH! Thinks only about fashion, pop, sex and fame.
my god it's a miracle! ke$ha actually looks attractive here i guess doing good really does make you beautiful!
Re: bitterholic_is_alive – lmao you totally have it figured out! love this comment
