Chinese Doggies Get Their Hairs Did!

| Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & TrueWoof WoofTeddy Hilton

LOLs! Look at all of these animal friends dressed up like other animal friends!

Earlier this month, folks in China celebrated the opening of a new pet park at the Dahe Mincui Park in Zhengzhou by dying their puppies a variety of colors to look like Tigers and Panda Bears!

Check out the HIGHlarity above! Sooo cute!

We wonder what our little Teddy would look like with such an elaborate dye job!

Old news… Poor dogs… Wish I had a panda dog though!! lol

  3. 3

The lengths people will go to satisfy their own vanity, at the expense of another living creature, never ceases to amaze me. Oyfuckingvey.

  4. 4

    That's freakin' cool.

  5. 5

This is so awesome! How come nobody thought of this before? So cute…and weird, but it would be perfect for Halloween or just to trip people out! Way better than dying poodles pink or whatever.

  6. 6

    this actually does look cool!

  7. 7

Re: BonerMcBone – @ 3 - well said and agreed.

  8. 8

    awwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!! sooo cute

  9. 9

got their HAIR, and DONE. not did, done

  10. 10

Sry, but that looks cruel and vain. Putting dye on animals is no better than testing beauty products on them, you never know how your pooch is going to react. I will never dream on putting anything on my chihuahua except a blankie on her if she gets cold. Even a so called natural dye can bring an allergic reaction that can kill your pet.

  11. 11

Re: BonerMcBone – It doesn't actually hurt the animal. It's perfectly safe. The dyes they use on dogs are much safer than the hair dyes humans use (at least in the US). People here get their dogs groomed everyday. Putting a little vegetable dye extract on them and having them sit for ten minutes does no harm.

  12. 12

What kind of dogs are these? They're so fluffy! =D
Though I would never dye my dog's fur. That's too extreme.

  13. 13

Ewww poor dogs!!! This is called mistreating an animal. Isn't it forbidden in western countries?

  14. 14

i dont know, but i think thats kind of weird. i think we should stop playing god and just leave animals as they are.

  15. 15

yea, THESE dogs the chinese wont eat. They make money for them.

  16. 16

    Um…is that ethical? :-/
Saw a segment on TV (ABC I think) where these ppl had dyed their dogs…

  17. 17

Everyones going to be like "OH MY GOD ANIMAL CRUELTY!11!". But seriously, humans dye their hair everyday - how is it animal cruelty to dye your dogs hair. It's not, lol. It's not considered cruelty when we dye our hair, is it? Mothers get their allow their ten year old kids to get highlights and hair dye and what not. So don't say "Yeah, but the animals don't get a say!!1"
They look cute. My cat already looks like a panda though ;) .

  18. mae11 says – reply to this

    this is cruel.

  19. 19

Saw this 3 weeks ago. As late as usual.

  20. 20

Re: Morning_Is_Mocking_Me – the ones in the first pic are chow chows and i'm sure of that, the "tiger" in the second pic i guess is a golden retriever~

  21. 21

    animal abuse

  22. 22

those ppl who say this is animal cruelty should really just stfu.
i fucking hate people like u..every single little thing you complain.. How the fuck is this cruel? People have done so many other evil things in the world and u have to worry about this? Get a fucking life people.
Go suck peta's dicks or whatever

  23. 23

Re: TranquilMarzipan – Actually, it can hurt the animal. There have been deaths when dogs have ingested the dye by licking their coats while in the dying process. Also, allergic reactions to even the vegetable dye have been documented. There are laws in some cities that prohibit the dying of any animal so it is illegal in some states. Personally, I don't see it as ethical. It's purely for the enjoyment & vanity of the owner. It doesn't improve the life of the dog at all. Is it really worth the risk?

  24. 24

It is animal abuse. Sure, people dye their hair, but it is their choice — these animals are undoubtedly forced into submitting to this, and the practice should be banned.

  25. 7tizz says – reply to this

Wow, hopefully some entrepreneurial dog groomers here take note. I can totally see this taking off. They look absolutely amazing.

  26. 26

    The pandas look like Chows.
Not sure what the "Tiger" is.

  27. 27

This story is a MONTH old!!!!!

  28. 28

Re: grace5.5 – His using "did" instead of done was this thing called a joke.

  29. 29

What this story failed to mention is that those sick Asians ate the dogs afterwards.

  30. 30

this people have shit to do with their lives… stupid shit. poor little pets…

  31. 31

Pet cruelty? Although I must admit the tiger dog looks pretty awesome

  32. 32

"Everyones going to be like "OH MY GOD ANIMAL CRUELTY!11!". But seriously, humans dye their hair everyday - how is it animal cruelty to dye your dogs hair. It's not, lol. It's not considered cruelty when we dye our hair, is it?"

    You are retarded as fuck.

  33. 33

sorry, I think this is just dumn; hopefully this is not hurting the dog when he/she likes himself/herself, that would b F*ed up

  34. 34

Looks cool but I sure hope that dye ain't toxic.

  35. 35

someone call the humane society on these people.. dye ur dogs? hello, dye burns the skin u morons..do u really want to harm ur pet?

  36. 36

Re: miss bliss – i totally agree! not fair to the animals!

  37. 37

    fucking whiners
i think americans love their dogs more than their own family
I've known people who wasted tens of thousands of dollars for their pets. for fucks sake

  38. 38

Well I guess as long as the dogs weren't harmed from dying their fur…it will grow out.

  39. 39

Re: hover me charlie – I would totally dye my dog's fur with jello for halloween… and he would totally love it. Animals (people included) die from allergic reactions every day. Most are 100% preventable. In this case, if you dye a small part of the dog first, you can see how their skin reacts (called a strand test). The cases which you speak of occur in >1% of dying cases. As long as the groomer is experience, none of those complications should occur and there is zero risk involved. And, harsh news, but dogs wouldn't exist if it weren't for human vanity and the enjoyment of different breeds (Do you really think the Lhasa apso happened for any reason other than vanity?).

  40. 40

Re: hover me charlie – (cont'd) The earliest dogs were only domesticated because we found them useful and cute. Now, domesticated dogs aren't capable of existing in the wild without us. Let them loose on a ranch, and give them a bowl of food and water every day, but no care other than that, and they'll still most likely die within a year from a porcupine, horse trampling, overheating, or some other freak accident (some people just can't have pets). I think that the dying of dogs' fur in China is good in that it raises awareness of treating dogs as pets, something to be loved and cared for. Dogs were previously used mainly for meat and seen as only being pets for the bourgeoisie. Now dog ownership is becoming more popular (mainly because of fashion) but this has kept more dogs off the dinner table, and should help assuage animal cruelty and bring about the generation of "animal rights" as their popularity grows in the nation.

  41. 41

China needs to stop messing with animals period,,,This is not cute…I hate China and the way they treat animals.

  42. 42

wow more OLD news perez. Seriously, you're starting to fall behind in the times.

  43. 43

Get the FUCK over it, people! You can spout"cruelty and they can die" bullshit allllll day long, and it's still going to happen. Why don't you raise your voices about your precious Obama out playing golf while the Gulf is flooded with oil? FOCUS, retards… Learn the definition, and use it.

  44. 44

This IS, actually, cruelty to animals.

I watched a documentary on it, and the animal gets dyed for over 8 hours STRAIGHT with no food or water. The dog shown was practically passing out from exhaustion.

So, the dye isn't harmfull, but the situation you are placing your dog in for your own vanity is.

  45. 45

Totally illegal in the USA.. I swear if the chinks are eating dogs and cats then they are wearing them or doing shite like this to them.

  46. 46

You people are such hypocrites, when it's about KeliS, she's a bitch for wearing fur…but this is cute? It's not normal! If something lookes cute, it doesn't make it right!

BTW we all wear fur, leather is also animalskin, and a cow isn't treated that nicely eather!

  47. 47

Only tools would do this to their animals.

  48. 48

    I want one!!!!

  49. 49

so you give aubrey o'day sh*t for dying her dog a while ago and now THIS is ok? WTF!! YOU MAKE NO SENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  50. 50

OMG how stupid! Perez, i thought you would have some juicy gossip verses these stupid looking dogs.

  51. 51

OMGGG so so so cute!! i usually hate stuff like this but who wouldnt want a panda :| :|:|

  52. 52

fucking chinese, one day they are eating dogs and then when dogs are popular in media they suddenly like them. they are obviously just fashion accessories to them

  53. 53

Re: bryanlizza – an allergic reaction that can kill your pet? you are a fucking moron, people have have been their hair for thousands (since ancient egypt) of years retard it's not deadly. look it up ya fuckin mung!

  54. 54

they eat dogs in China-they also skin the alive for their fur.YES dogs and cats as well as anything alive they can bash for food and fur. They disgust me

  55. 55

Aw, so cute. I want them all. Hope they're all okay.

  56. 56

I understand and agree that this is a little over the top but don't feel it is animal cruelty. It is no more cruel to use a vegetable dye and find out they are allergic to it then it is to feed a child strawberries for the first time and find out they are allergic. Baby's don't have voices either but we do it. I won't believe for one second it doesn't improve their quality of life. My moms dog wears shirts. He hated them at first until he realized he got more attention from other people when he was wearing them and now begs my mom to put shirts on him. How do we know these dogs don't do the same when they get used to having their hair dyed. Not to mention if they are allergic to vegetable dye chances are you will already know that because they will have an allergy to the vegetable when it is ingested say like in their dog food.

  57. 57

  58. 58

I'm not going to lie, the tiger-dog is adorable. But I still find the whole dyeing your pet thing to be sick and weird. I don't even like it when people dress up their dogs in "cute" outfits. They're animals, not living, breathing dolls. I really hope none of those animals were hurt or got sick because of this.

  59. 59

Thank u hover me charlie. And notice how the "panda" dog looks like he's been sucking on a blue lollipop? = Black hair dye. ESPECIALLY in countries like China where animal cruelty is unregulated…you think those dyes are safe for the animals? You're naive, but there's a cure for that…do some research. Dogs are beaten to death and skinned for their fur in China, and unless the dog was an endangered species, its all LEGAL. You would really say, "oh look what they do to animals over there, how cute, let's emulate that"? OMG PLEASE get educated, people. There are not laws there protecting animals OR people like there are in the States & elsewhere. China mass-produces lead- and cadmium-based poison as toys for children. You can buy colored contacts from the cosmetics aisle there and cross your fingers that you don't go blind. Chinese HUMAN hair dyes just last year were found to contain carcinogens and Phenylenediamine, an industrial dye that can cause gene mutations, cancer, or body malformation. It is banned for use in cosmetics in the US.

Re: Lilbittybluegrl2 – I sent it to him three weeks or more ago.

  62. 62

Re: umnobutnicetry – I think you should do your research because Chow Chow's tongues are normally bluish purple, google it. Fool.

  63. 63

Re: umnobutnicetry stupidly writes: "And notice how the "panda" dog looks like he's been sucking on a blue lollipop? = Black hair dye."

You truly are a retarded idiot! I bet you are from Berkley and your parents are tired worn out old hippies.

The color of a typical Chow's tongue is blue/black. If you had any brains you could look that up on Google. But then, Google may be too deep for your mind to comprehend. moron! ROTFLMAO!

  64. 64

This is not "dressing up" Perez. This is putting chemicals onto a dog, not putting a dress on it!
To these idiots that are saying that people get their hair dyed so it's safe on animals, the person has the right to chose to dye their own hair, the dog does not!
The dog whisperer will tell you that dogs recognise their own "species", how can they do this when they look like a Tiger or a Panda?
It's frigging WEIRD. The people that want to do this are weirdo's too!

  65. 65

Geez keep up on the news for once!

  66. 66

thats not cute, its sad, sick and demeaning

  67. ed69 says – reply to this

i have a chow chow.. totally doing it.. although a lady gaga will also look cool something like "for dogs by dogs"

  68. 68

Re: Lilbittybluegrl2 – i was just about to say i saw this like a month ago lol ..

  69. 69

I'm sorry I didn't realize it's a Chow Chow because it's DYED like an effing PANDA…it's more than a little distracting! Not all Chows have bluish tongues, either, but REGARDLESS the point is China unfortunately produces consumer products that are often toxic to both people and animals, with little to no repurcussions, and their lack of animal welfare laws and practices is tragic. I don't see u disputing that. Because u CAN'T. Glamorizing China's treatment of animals is as absurd as these photos.

  70. 70

Re: Hate Low Class People – Just like you chose to see the blunder in my comment instead of being incensed over the true cold facts of abuse in China; just as you chose to dig for stereotypes with your spade of hate; just as you use a HUMAN mental disability in your arsenal of deregatory disregard; you too, my friend, are the problem, but in your case I also fear for mankind.

  71. 71

well at least they ain't eating them for dinner.

  72. 72

    So tacky of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  73. 73

dear perez… this is like, really old news.

  74. 74

how is this cute? this is human greed and us wanting to satisfy our need for "cute", by dying these animals fur. do you know how harmful it is to dye your animals fur even with an "animal friendly" vegetable dye? this should be considered animal cruelty. fucking idiots

  75. 75

Re: umnobutnicetry – Bwah, bwah, bwah, I can hear you crying all they way out here in CA. You poor widdle thing, did your widdle feewings get hurt???? Dying those dogs hair is not abusive, despite the dumbasses at PETA who proved the lies you buy into.

I bet your are a vegetarian too. eat some meet, you brain obviously needs the protein!

Here, I have a widdle lollipop (sugar free and made in the USA by non child labor for the politically correct) for your hurt widdle feewings.

  76. 76

its probably food coloring aka vegetable dye…geeze you guys are so quick to say something is animal cruelty when you prob wear leather and eat meat; how the USA milks cows is probably more cruel than this

  77. @v@ says – reply to this

  78. 78

  79. 79

Once again, you're late and mis-reporting. The Animal Park bought the animals from a dealer and had them dyed to attract the people. Typical Chinese exploitation.

  80. 80

WOW, all of you guys saying that this is animal cruelty is a total, and complete idiot. As a groomer myself, I can tell you that it is completely safe. Did you know that there are dye brands made specifically for dogs?? Made by reputable and respected companies? Sure, dogs can get a reaction to it, dogs can get a reaction to a brush, comb, shampoo and conditioner. Most groomers will know before hand if their dog has sensitive skin (if they itch from shampoo) so they would obviously know not to dye them! Most dogs have no reaction to this. And I am sure any dog would want to look fabulous rather than dirty and unkempt looking! I know, the whole panda and tiger thing may be going a little far in some people's eyes, but if the dog is good for it, than why not do it? Dogs and cats for that matter have been getting dyed for years, there have been creative grooming competitions with it for a while now! It is recognized by top grooming judges as something POSITIVE! Wake up people, and calm the hell down.. Seriously!

  81. 81

Re: cjk0420 – WOW, you're not a racist bitch at all

  82. 82

Re: ViewFromHere – What do you mean typical? Like America is so moral with its offshore drilling, anti-Mexican laws, etc. Don't be a racist hater..
