Ben Stiller Builds A School In Haiti!
Behold the power of generosity and Twitter!
Ben Stiller made a deal and a pledge with Yahoo! to start an online charity campaign through his Twitter account. The company agreed to donate $1 for ever Twitter used that clicked on an online photo Ben posted of himself at the Cannes Lions advertising festival in France.
As of this morning, Yahoo will be donating $50,000 to Ben's campaign and Ben will be using that money to build a school in Haiti!
He tweeted out the happy news this morning, saying:
"Hey - woke up in Europe to learn we reached our goal of 50 thousand shares - Thank You!! Yahoo will build us a school in Haiti."
Amazing! Ben and his 50,000 followers should be very proud! Congrats!

I met Ben about 6-7 years ago when he was doing a film, and he is the nicest person ever, and went out of his way to wish me good luck with my testing with captioning, and the small thing means a lot, and it showed exactly what type of person he is. I was truly grateful for his words of encouragement…This is just another example of his true character..

I think it's great that a school is being built and only hope that Ben doubles that amount with his own money.
Can we help our own citizens first instead of rushing to aid another country? That money could have been donated to help with the oil spill instead of a lost cause like Haiti.

Damn you people are so greedy and selfish. First of all the oil spill was caused by human kind. BP CAN afford to pay for it but they won't, and the earthquake was a natural disaster and the people of Haiti are not at fault.
I am assuming if you can afford useless stuff (like the internet)than you are living like royalites compared to the innocent people of Haiti. And if you have been denied to recieve education or have nothing to eat here in the United States than you have a right to complain.

WHY DON'T THESE STARS DO THINGS FOR THEIR OWN COUNTRY? COUNTLESS SCHOOLS ARE BEING CLOSED AROUND THE COUNTRY FOR LACK OF FUNDING. KIDS HAVE TO BE BUSED UP TO 60 MILES TO GET TO A SCHOOL! AMERICA HAS REAL NEEDS TOO!
