It just keeps going and going and going and going…

Some of you are all caught up in the World Cup, but you are missing sports HISTORY be made over at Wimbledon!

This morning, American tennis player John Isner and France's Nicolas Mahut took to the court for their first-round contest.

Ten hours later, they were still playing! Impressive!

In the longest recorded match in history, the two players went at it relentlessly, shattering all kinds of records with a fifth-set that has lasted six hours! And there still isn't a winner!

Tied at 59-59 in the final set, the refs finally decided to suspend the game until tomorrow morning! The scoreboard will be re-set at 0-0 first set and Isner and Mahut will duke it out from there!

Imagine if this continues on like this for days!!! Bring it boys!!!

Dear Perez! They started the match yesterday. So it will be a 3 day match. And not from 0-0. I live in Wimbledon and watched those games so trust me! I know what I'm talking about. Only thing is that now the whole schedule is messed up!

Dehydration station! At least they will both be similarly physically depleted when they resume the match. Wow. I guess they're pretty evenly matched.

Re: SwedishSweetheart – Chuck Norris would have finished this.

Re: liisu – McEnroe said Mahut was supposed to be playing doubles today, around 32-32, so apparently it's not just the singles schedule that's messed up. What an amazing match!

See, now this is a real sport. You don't see a bunch of pansy soccer players/footballers going on for this long.
And Saosin, what sports history did we miss in the World Cup, apart from the host nation not going through for the first time in about 50 years? Football SUCKS.
