Paramount Reconsidering Mission Impossible 4?!

Filed under: Film Flickers > Tom Cruise

Due to the lackluster expectations for Tom Cruise's upcoming Knight and Day, Paramount is reconsidering going ahead with Mission Impossible 4.

No decisions have been made yet, but considering all the development that has already gone into the project, it will probably not be scrapped. And the studio sure doesn't want to piss off producer JJ Abrams.

Cruise is most likely to reprise his role as Ethan Hunt and beef up the subplot of a young protege for some fresh blood.

The film is scheduled for release December 16, 2011.

We can't imagine Knight and Day doing well, so this is gonna be inneresting.

Knight and Day looks good. You, on the other hand, look like a jealous wannabe.

Tell Tom to quit making the crazy-look grin as part of his 'acting', especially don't show them in previews, like the one for 'Knight and Day.' THAT turns me off and probably others. He needs to realize he is not a teenager and it is not cool. That over-the-top nonsequitur look made me stop watching Mission Impossible. someone tell him to act his age and people will watch him again. He was very cool and sophisticated in "Eye's Wide Shut." Get a clue.

Knight and Day looks horrible. Saw a sneakpeek last night and had to change the channel. Cant stand Tom. He cant act. America will never get the image of him jumping on Oprahs couch out of their head. Ruined whatever career he ahd with that move plus he is sucha pompous ass.

Mission Impossible has its own following, whereas Knight and Day is a one off random film. Mission Impossible could do decent numbers, particularly after its gone to video. Series action films with a solid rep do well enough there.

Tommy Cruise ain't SEKSI enuf to star as the lead in any flicks no mo'!

Why would Tom want to have anything to do with a JJ Abrams project? Abrams created Fringe. Joshus Jackson stars on Fringe. Tom Cruise is afraid of Joshua Jackson.
If Tom is ever asked about Abrams during an interview, TC will probably demand that Fringe is not referenced as one of JJs works. (and I'm SOOOO glad that Knight and Day is tanking!!!!!!)
