Damn, too bad your mom wasn't offered them in Cuba.

  2. 2

They would need them if you were around…

  3. 3

There's a difference between "offering" and "being able to ask for." Nowhere in that report did it say that the school was going to be going into kindergartens and giving out condoms to the five-year-olds.

  4. 4

Good. It's never too early to learn about safe sex. Perhaps if their parents had condoms, they wouldn't exist.

  5. 5

I don't understand why this is a controversy. It is ridiculous to criticize this on the basis of kindergartens. Let's use common sense here, obviously a five year old is not going to be asking for a condom, let alone using one. What this will do though, is offer safe protection for the still minority of individuals that start experimenting with sex in grade six, seven, and eight. Although I do agree with some of the people in the interview that it is far too young for kids to be engaging in sexual activity - the fact remains, some kids are still going to do it whether or not these condoms are offered and parents discourage, let's at least encourage for that small minority that they are practicing safe activity.

  6. 6

Leave it to the dumbass liberals in Massachusetts to give condoms to kindergardeners.

  7. 7

You never know. Those playgrounds are great for foreplay.

  8. 8

wow, that is the most moronic thing I have ever heard. They won't know what the fuck they are for. Most likely they will blow them up like balloons. What fucking idiot thought up this brilliant idea?????
    *
Why don't they just tell kids they have cooties at that age?!?! fuck that kept us kids at bay in kindergartners. What a sad world that people think it's a bright idea to give condoms to kindergartners. HOW DISGUSTING. Whoever thought that up should be put behind bars for thinking about grade ones having sex.
    *
EVEN IF a kindergartner was having sex, CONDOMS isn't the answer, PUTTING THE PARENTS behind bars is. OBVIOUSLY their home live is fucked, a condom wont solve the problem.
    *
WOW what a sad sad sad society we live in.

  9. 9

I dont even have to watch the video, these people are SICK. WTF I didnt know about sex till I was ten! Obviously the kids are going to ask what they are used for, great job bitches. I can see it now, "KINDERGARDENER'S CAUGHT HAVING SEX IN PLAYGROUND TUNNEL". So stupid.

  10. 10

This is a joke right? I can see Middle and High School but come on Kindergarden? Nah, I hope that does not happen.

  11. 11

at this point you might as well, if children as young as 12-13 can pop out babies. FFS Discipline you're children!

  12. 12

Re: Ellie9 – For F's sake, Disipline your superintendants!!

  13. 13

I think it's a good thing. Any kid who asks for a condom is going to get counselling with the school nurse, which I imagine could be very important if some 12-year-olds are thinking about having sex. ALSO, if some 5 year old asks for a condom I think it's probably a sign that there's something very wrong in that kid's life and it could alert the nurse to that!

  14. 14

Re: crimaneysakeRe: HOLYJEEBUSRe: Paris FranceRe: Mad Dog – Please watch the video, no one is handing out condoms! any student at any age can go ask for one, and they are counseled about it first, obviously a 5 year old will not ask for a condom dumbass! and hey i knew kids having sex in 5th and 6th grade when I was in school(I am 24 now I am sure older people wouldn't understand what is really going on now)

  15. 15

Man.. every school should be like that! They're not promoting sex, they're being intelligent. Abstinence doesn't work… so at least they're giving kids a chance. Finally an intelligent principal who's not just listening to parents. Kindergarteners aren't going to be asking for condoms.. the media was totally twisting that one!

  16. 16

Okay, they aren't actually going around giving kindergartners condoms. They're merely saying that the opportunity is there for any students requiring condoms. As well, the students have to talk to the nurse first. It is very likely that if a five year old was to ever ask for one, the nurse would not simply give it to them, they would probably have a very lengthy chat about why, at five (or hell, even fifteen) sex is too early.

  17. 17

hehe i would make balloons out of them :)

  18. 18

Unfortunately, this is what you get when you have Democrats in charge. It's a trade off, I guess. If you want gay marriage and amnesty for illegals, you have to accept condoms and comprehensive sex ed for little kids, abortions at nine months, and having the life sucked out of us with taxes. Age of Obama, baby!

  19. 19

lol ill make balloons out of them

  20. 20

It's about time they gave rubbers to them slutty little kindergarteners.

  21. 21

I don't recognize my country or planet anymore.

  22. 22

Why would a 5 year old EVER need a condom. This is disgusting and sick! Anyone who is for this behavior needs a come to Jesus moment.

  23. 23

When you're in Kindergarten of course you won't ask for condoms, but kids these days are having sex at such a young age and they get pregnant or get a girl pregnant because they are forbidden for condoms. The dad who said his 7th grader is too young for sex is obviously ignorant to the world today.

  24. 24

Re: mscalto – The FACT that they even have condoms in middle school is fucking crazy, let alone having them available to kindergartners.
    *
Johnny just turned 5 and he wants to have sex with kelly so he gets a condom from the teacher.
    *
YAH that makes sense… I know all of you people who support this will say "well that will let the teacher know something is wrong with the home life or the child"…. so, are they STILL going to give JOHNNY the condom????????? OR is it a tactic to find kids who are going to have sex? DO THEY ACTUALLY THINK a KID is going to go to the TEACHER and ask for a condom?
    *
ABSTINENCE isn't the problem here. IT"S idiots LIKE PEOPLE who SUPPORT this trash. THAT is the problem. DISCIPLINE your kid, that solves the problem. TEACH THEM RIGHT FROM WRONG. DON"T GIVE THEM AN EXCUSE TO USE THE CONDOM.
The REASON kids are havin SEX at a younger age is BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE GIVIN THEM REASONS to. "HEre take a condom and go have protected sex" instead of "how about you dont have sex" … idiots.. .what a bunch of idiots… and if your discipline isn't workin for your kids then you need parenting classes.

  25. 25

Re: mscalto – First off I was just joking about the kindergarden. I know about the middle and high school and stated so.

I'm not a dumbarse by no means! If you don't like my comment then don't read it!

    Have a great evening!

  26. 26

Re: mscalto – What's really going on now is people aren't disciplining their children because they are afraid they will "damage them"
    *
SUCK IT UP and DISCIPLINE them. This planet is going to hell in a hand basket all because people like you think we are being to easy on our children and that they should be able to have sex at the age of 5 if they want to as long as they have a condom.
    *
    IDIOT.

  27. 27

at first i was a bit upset with it, but after watching the video, it seems like a great idea. You hear of kids having sex younger and younger these days, having kids at 10-12 years old, they need to have this available to them so that if they were to decide to have sex it would at least be practiced as safely as they can (besides not having sex obviously). But it also comes back on the parents. They need to start having the sex discussion with their children, and telling them while they hope they wait, that they can always come to them and to practice it safely. I dread the day I have to start talking to my son about this, but I'd rather have the talk with him than him hearing about it (and most likely not correct information) from other sources.

  28. 28

Re: htothevizzle – Yah they would have a lengthy chat, but she would still have to give the condom to the five year old because according to the article "they are available to kinderartners if they need them" and well if the 5 year old says he needs one we better listen to the 5 year old!
    *
whatever happened to telling the kid NO, and not dancing around them on tip-toes because well what the 5 year old wants the 5 year old gets.
*thats what is wrong with this world. Parents and teachers are scared to put their foot down because society deems discipline as something bad that can mentally destabilize a child.

  29. 29

Well, this isn't exactly true………..The school is offering them to kids starting in elementary school IF THEY ASK. It's not like there's a jar of them in the kindergarten classrooms and the kids get one if they're good. Kids that age usually don't even know what they are. Find something else to create drama. Surprised they haven't blamed this on Obamanomics.

  30. 30

I work at an inner city school. One day when my kindergarten class was lining up after recess one of my students said "Look at this balloon I found. (She started to blow it up). It was a used condom she found on the playground! So, after teaching kindergarteners for several years. I think they are too young for condoms. They think they are cool balloons. The older kids (our school goes up to 8th grade), I think should have them made available to them. I think they are too young still, to have sex. But I would prefer them to use them if they do engage in sex.

  31. 31

This should make every person who hates people on welfare and Medicaid jump for joy. Nope, they want to make it what it's not.

  32. 32

Perez, do even know what P-town is? I feel like its worth mentioning that ptown is predominately gay. likes REALLY gay. people go there for fun to gawk at the drag queens. its like 90% gay. so no wonder the kids that live there are a little fucked up.

  33. 33

There's a difference between offering and being made available. I say, good for the school… overprotective parents block there kids from the protection they need.

  34. 34

It makes sense. Otherwise where is the cut off? I mean obviously you're always going to have someone saying middle school is too young, high school is too young…. just make it a blanket - all students will have availability to condoms.

  35. 35

    idiots. fucking idiots.

  36. 36

It ain't for the little boys… it's so 1st grade girls can have sex with older boys. Big conspiracy out here. And not just older boys, I tell you. Horrible… simply horrible.

  37. 37

Condoms must be available for everyone! it is their parents responsability to advise their children

  38. 38

    Re: xxAlphaKittenxx
    I am in total agreement!

  39. 39

this is efffing rediculous… they're promoting sex they can deny it all they want but that is what they're doing. Also how the hell can they ignore the parents requests? It is up to the parents afterall. The school doesn't have a say in it at all. The parents should have to consent to this. You can't just give out a condon to a kid behind their parents backs. this is rediculous. Sex is for marriage people. If I were the parents I would be yanking my kids out of the school. As I assume some will. How is this even legal? This women is an iddiot. I was actually getting furious just listening

  40. 40

Re: chrio1 – You are a teacher? Wow, I wish I had my red pen to mark all your comma splices and run-on sentences.

  41. 41

What. the. fuck. Our youth is being sexualized TOO EARLY…

  42. 42

I don't agree with this at all. My brother who is 7 doesn't even know about sex yet, nontheless about condoms. Those children are too young.

  43. 43

    For what water balloons?????????????????

  44. 44

There is a HUGE difference between offering condoms to a whole school district and offering them to just kindergarteners. They are offering them to the whole school district (if they ask the school nurse and get counseling and instruction first) which just happens to include kindergarteners. That title is very misleading but people without common sense are dumb enough to believe it.

  47. 47

    thats massachusetts for ya..

  48. 48

Re: Kash99 – excuse me, but parents should be the FIRST people to make the decision about this!!! Do you even hear yourself? Since when should a school superintendent have more control over a kid then THEIR OWN FUCKING PARENTS???? That is essentially what you are saying, whether you'll admit it or not. I'm no prude, but I for the life of me can't comprehend how you could possibly justify this.

  49. 49

    how truelly demented

  50. 50

at that age, my son would have thought that was a kick ass water balloon. Stop making a big deal out of a little deal. Now let's get the tea party all aflutter about young children getting condoms. Why does fox news just look for perversion??? Have you ever looked at their website foxnews.com??? It makes me laugh.

  51. 51

where not to send your kids to school!!! this is so sick!

  52. 52

Perez you do realize that this is the liberal mindset you so love right?

  53. 53

So say if a kindergartener goes to the nurses saying that they're sick, and some guy is leaving with condoms in his hand. The kid asks what they are. The guy says balloons. The kid walks in asking for them.

    C'mon like people!

  54. 54

i live in boston and the last time you posted some thing about fox new boston they would not stop talking about it

  55. 55

i think this is a good idea, like some mentioned already, they are AVAILABLE to the kids, but its not like the school is outright handing them to the kids, so it is only for those who need it. out government has spent millions trying to teach abstinence in schools, and studies have shown that the only difference between kids who were taught abstinence and those who were taught protected sex is that those who were taught abstinence have more unprotected sex (otherwise they start having sex around the same age and have the same amount of partners and so on) i mean this school wouldnt be doing this if parents talked to their kids about sex, but that never happens anymore so kudos to the school

  56. 56

There is NO MODERATION in Liberal philosphy.
    -
It's like porn. What's new and exciting today?
The stuff the girls have to do today is a long way from Linda Lovelace's escapades.
    -
    Yesterday, was BJ's.
    Today, anal penetration.
    Tomorrow, double penetration.
    -
Thank you Sex In The City for lowering the bar, what teens are expected to do at the end of a date.
    Thank you Bill Clinton.

  57. 57

THE FUGLY, KNOW-IT superintendent can be the poster child for birth control! this bitch needs to be fired and that goes for the board too!

Just who do these people think they are and how stupid are they, not to know this will be challenged in court and they will lose…you can't supersede a parents authority…well at least, not yet…but, the government will try to tell you how you WILL raise your child!

  58. 58

wtf can little boys even get hard-ons at that age?

  59. 59

I don't see the issue … kids that young aren't going to ask for them … and if they did, jesus, I would be looking at the parents wondering what the fuck are they NOT doing because if you were a good parent and talked to your children, they wouldn't be in the office. So … PARENTS TALK TO YOUR CHILDREN, it's YOUR responsibility.

  60. 60

Fox news has completely misconstrued this story. I know Beth Singer personally, as she is a very close friend of my family and was my principal when i was in middle & high school. This is a woman who fights for her 'kids' - she wants nothing more than for them to be safe, educated, and aware. This story misses the point - the condom availiblity is for the ENTIRE P'town school district, which goes up to high school. Kids will have sex, no matter what - and they should be prepared. It's not like she's encouraging 5-year olds to have sex, for crying out loud. What she's doing is making education and protection available in a safe way for these kids. Fox News bastardized this entire story, which really is a good thing and comes form a good place. As a Cape Codder and friend to Beth, I am deeply offended by and ashamed of the media painting her and this story in such a light. Can't anyone see the good in anything anymore?

  61. 61

wow sounds like they want kids to start fuckn
    at a real early age

  62. 62

That's disgusting. The vast majority of elementary schoolers do not know what sex is. Wtf.
