To prepare for the anniversary of Michael Jackson's death, his Encino compound is being severely locked down, and according to the LAPD, 30 to 40 uniformed and undercover officers will be patrolling the block over the weekend!

There will also be "no parking" signs around the house and a ban on merchandise in the area!

We understand that percautions need to be taken to keep the crazies at bay, but GEESH!

A little much, don't you think??

The Family & Estate should pick up the full bill for the memorial, because it's something they organised. But this isn't down to them, so if the police feel the need to do this, then why should the Jacksons pay the bill for some members of the public being bat shit crazy?

Re: AliciaMay – The estate already paid the bill for the memorial so I wouldn't be surprise if they paid this as well.

"According to CNN, $1.3 million dollars will be paid to the city of Los Angeles for the expense incurred for Michael Jackson’s Memorial last year"

The California legal system is a joke in an already useless corrupt broken laughable system. Which means California is one of the laughing stocks of Washington. Crap like this, Celebrities getting police escorts,etc..Shutting down blocks forcing store owners to close down until filming is over is why your garbage state is in debt.

FIRST OF ALL CALIFORNIANS DONT EVEN PAY THEIR OWN TAXES AND THATS WHY YOUR IN THE SHITTER. SECOND, THE FAMILY ALREADY PAID FOR THE MEMORIAL SERVICE LAST YEAR AND DONATED A LITTLE MORE TO THE POLICE. THIRD, THE FANS THAT ARRIVED PROVIDED CALIFORNIA WITH TOURISM DOLLARS. . . . YOU WOULD GET MORE TOURISM $$ BUT YOU GUYS ACT LIKE BITCHES WHEN WE WANT TO COME AND FLY OUT THERE. SO FUCK YOU I HOPE NO ONE PAYS THE FUCKIN BILL. SELFISH FUCKS….$$$TOURISM DOLLARS$$$

I think the Jackson's should pay for there own security, they can afford it. No PARKING ZONE SHOULD OF BEEN DONE A YEAR AGO. Did Nicole Brown's family have to pay for the security of Bundy. No city of S.M. made it unlawful to park and cruise 800 block of Bundy.

Insane..But I'm sure they need the security cause of his crazy fans!

    Re: MJJ

Oops, I read an article somewhere that said they only paid part of it. Good for them if they paid in full.

That's nothing compared to the $2 BILLION dollars Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper is blowing on security to lock down Toronto so select world leaders can read prepared statements and engage in endless photo ops. Downtown Toronto looks like a city under siege right now with all the armed uniforms marching about looking very important.
