A lot of taller women tend to subconsciously cross there legs and look like they are leaning towards the people next to them so they don't make the person next to them feel as threatened about their height. It's all to do with body language and dominance really.

As you can see with the woman on the far left is leaning forward and ruining her own posture to avoid being awkward shows her lack of confidence compared to Kourtney and Kim.

Whereas the woman on the far right however, is leaning backwards giving the impression that she confident enough to stand tall regardless of the awkward moment (yet the leg she has closest to Kim does look like it's wobbling a bit. Also take note on how firm Kim's dominant grip around the womans waist, yet she isn't repaying the favour because she hasn't got neither arms around Kim.

Besides..I'm 5'8 and always tend to find myself bending one knee in and kinda leaning to one side when getting a photo taken with my smaller friends.
