Dear Hilton - No one cares about your gay agenda anymore. You've put your cause back 20 years and your site has become one huge homo-rama.

This is what makes people think Texans are a bunch of hateful rednecks- and i don't blame them. BUT…we are not all this stupid. I was born here, and lived here since i was 8 years old, i am now 29. I do not agree with this. The lawmakers in Texas are an exceptional group of assholes. They can do this, and also they think they are so smart that they can go and change textbooks to include what they find appropriate. This includes minimizing Abraham Lincolns effect on America, praising Joseph Mccarthey, and glorifying the NRA. This thinking, that they can do this, is not acceptable, even if the circumstances were swung in the other political direction. It worries me! I give birth to my first little girl in less than a month, and we have already talked about moving by the time she hits grade school to avoid this ignorance. SICK SICK SICK….i really think our state has the worst government in the US, so please dont hate all of us!

  3. 3

i cant believe your waiting till now to talk about this law its been in the talks for 3 weeks now…this is more then a outrage and should have been shown when it first came out.

  4. 4

HIGHlarious! LMAO! Thanks Mario, that really cheered me up!

  5. 5

They're Republican Texans, what did you expect. Be thankful for the life you have now and stop complaining. Good things will happen you show gratitude.

    Re: Beaux10

Completely agree, I'm from Texas & I hate how everyone thinks we're all the same.

  7. 7

Pig Face, YOU'RE appalling and unacceptable! You personify the very worst of gay stereotypes, a self-absorbed, confrontational, judgmental blowhard obsessed about self promotion with little regard for the toxic stench you leave in your wake.

  8. 8

Yeeeee Hawwww! That's why I love the lone star state we ain't afraid to be true to our beliefs. If you want to be GAY go the other WAY…move to San Fran or New York or Miami you'll be your gay old happy self there any how cause they cater to y'all.

  9. 9

Texbadboy do You Not Realize How Ignorant your Comment Made you Sound? First You Said if You Want To be Gay Like it is A Choice. Are You Gay Yourself? Im Assuming No! So How In Gods Green Earth Are You Able Make That Comment and Be Justified In Saying So?? Second You Said Move To Cali. Or NY…..So All Gay people Should Be Forced To relocate to Two areas? And If You Have Suc A Problem With Gay Poeple, then i suggest you stop wearing clothes, eating at restaurants, watching Tv Because Almost Everything In The U.S. Has Some Gay Influence JACKASS!

These people are evil and digusting, its such an embarassment to America, these moraless, uneducated, simpletons are so hateful, theyre so selfish and unempathetic, when will America flush these hate mongers out of the system, it seems like America is going backwards, its hard to point to things to be proud of anymore as an American. I never thought that everyday Americans would be stupid enough to bring this great country down the drain.

  11. 11

Re: 2commit – and yet you spend the time to read his website hmmmm…

  12. 12

Wasn't Texas supposed to secede already? What's taking them so damn long? They're dragging the entire rest of the country down into their pit o'ignorant rednecks. The entire country's IQ goes down about ten points every time a Texas republican opens their mouths.

  13. 13

Re: TexasBadBoy – your evil dude, your kids or relatives could be born gay and all you think about is your self, take your head out of your ass, your poor brain must be dying of starvation because you sound so unintelligent, youve never thought about another person in your life its not to late to change

  14. 14

Ok yea this may be stupid but can u STOP BLAMING MY STATE!!!!! Like this is geting really annoying. People in texas are just louder and more vocal then everyone else and ya'll just need to get over that!!

  15. 15

Just the dying rattle of a once great party. Good riddance, they are digging their own grave. Plus, its Texas, does anyone still take anything they do seriously?

  16. 16

Do not judge the gay community based on Mario's antics. He wants to be hated. Unfortunately people think he is a spokesperson for gays . He exhibits many gay sterotypes to the extreme. MOST gays are like MOST straight people… completely likable… Mario, will never be.

  17. 17

This is a platform for the Republicans, not a law. I have lived in Texas for a few years and have come to expect this kind of stuff.

  18. 18

i live in texas, and when i hear about this kind of stuff going on it makes me ashamed of my state.

    19

Makes me wish I lived in Texas.

  20. 20

Wow…these people are really DEEP into bigotry! SAD! :[

  21. 21

I have lived in Texas for 5 years and have spent the last 5 years wishing I hadn't. You will never (hopefully) see a larger population of closed minded and self centered simpletons. Everything bad in my life happened in Texas!!! I think they should separate to their own country so their horrible values and fake ass bullshit can go on with it's go on!!!

  22. 22

    Re: TexasBadBoy
    HEY ASSHOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    SUCK MY BIG FAT DICK!!!!!!!!!
OH WAIT, YOU WOULD PROBABLY ENJOY THAT WAY TOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  23. 23

perez.. you make it sound like "texans" all accept this. and its not true. texas isnt as backwards as you think, i was just at houstons gay pride parade and there were about 150,000 people there. so, im glad that you are showing this, but maybe you should spend a few more seconds brainstorming for titles.

  24. 24

Re: TexasBadBoy – yeah! no gays! and… no blow jobs! no anal sex! sounds like texas would be so much more fun! idiot.

  25. 25

    Re: Racemeimagirl

Well Raceme, I'm one of those "closed-minded self-centered simpletons" and I'd be more than happy to compare SAT scores with you any day of the week. If you'd bothered to actually watch the video, you'd see that this policy is a proposed platform point that not only isn't law, but isn't even representative of the beliefs of the entire Republican party in Texas. I'm sorry most of you aren't smart enough to do a little reading or research…or watching in this case (could it be any easier for you to not embarrass yourselves?), but don't take your ignorance out on the state of Texas.

    26

What do you expect from Texas? Isn't it the most hated state for their views?

  27. 27

[re=5163362]Re: Roadwork writes a great comment about how all Americans now feel about Democrats and the regime of Messiah Dumbama:

    Amen sister!

  28. 28

Republicans are hateful white trash and Texas republcians are the worst example of big brother hateful christo/fascists that make up the gop. The fact that the Republican party in many redneck disgusting states is doing this shows you what kind of garbage make up the republican party today.

  29. 29

Re: TexasBadBoy – Why are you on a gay man's blog bigot, is it because you are uneducated southern trash, you betcha.

  30. 30

UGH!!! Its shit like this that makes Texans look like a bunch of stupid redneck! It sometimes makes me DISGUSTED/ASHAMED to say I'm a Texan BUT PLEASE PEOPLE EVERYONE HERE IN TEXAS DOES NOT FEEL THE SAME WAY. Stupid republicans….

  31. 31

Why don't these freaking Texan back water morons all move to some deserted island and take other homophobes and every other hater with them. They want to live in the dark ages, adios and don't let the door hit your ass on your way out dumbasses.

  32. 32

Re: Low – What is up with ya'll thinkin everyone in Texas has the same view?! I dont know where you're from, but Im pretty sure that there is someone who hates gays there too. ya'll need to stop blamin Texas as a whole, blame the ignorant closed minded republican rednecks who actually support this….besides its NOT a law….just a platform.

  33. 33

Re: Ghotbi54 – again….NOT ALL TEXANS feel the same way! Why do ya'll keep blaming EVERYONE in Texas? There are plenty of people in the rest of the 50 states that dislike gays. Its NOT a law or anything. Keep in mind that NOT ALL TEXANS feel this way.

  34. 34

NOT ALL TEXANS ARE LIKE THIS, MAN!

  35. 35

Not Texas; the Republican Party of Texas. Big surprise

  36. 36

If the President of the USA has made Hate Crime committed against GLBT as illegal thereby making it law and unconstitutional, surely one can argue that the Texas Republicans’ Support Platform of not supporting GLBT is in direct conflict with this law because it promotes and perpetuates hate among the GLBT. This kind of hate is the most dangerous kind as it is left to grow and fester and left ‘un-checked’ thereby free to spew hatred out in the open. Furthermore, it is in direct opposition of the Matthew Shepard Act (as it is a federal law and enforced in every State), which translates into a crime therefore these Texas Republicans’ should be arrested and made to feel the full brunt of the law! >>

Re: Beaux10 – I was transferred to a small town in Texas for work briefly (only made it a year before running away!) and I have to agree that there are a lot of great, open-minded people in the state, and it's a shame that things like this give the entire state a bad image. It's sad that personal prejudices and religious beliefs are brought into law making. Unfortunately, it's happening in many states, not just Texas.
When I worked there, I was shocked to see that chain emails with gay jokes and calling Obama a Muslim terrorist were the norm. In most environments, that would be entirely unacceptable for a workplace. I guess that's any small, conservative town, though.
It's sad that the public school system is making you want to leave. I know other families that spent tens of thousands of dollars each year to send their children to private, international schools to get them away from the public and religious schools in the state. Every child should get a free education, free of religious influence, if that's what the parents want. They should also get proper lessons in history, and, from what I've heard, that's not possible in many places in Texas.

    38

don't blame us in austin. we are blue in a sea of red.

  39. 39

Re: archimmes – Fuck you, dumbass.

  40. 40

Re: Racemeimagirl – I have lived in Austin, TX for the past 5 years and have had a completely different experience. Don't generalize an entire state based on your experiences.

  41. 41

    Unacceptable!Bunch of Crap's Texas Republicans.

  42. 42

Can you please stop blaming an entire state for some people's opinion? One, its an opinion, which can't be wrong. Surely you've made that argument before. Two, its the republican group that thinks that, not the entire state of Texas. So stop stereotyping all of us Texans as gay-hating republicans.

  43. 43

Please stop acting like everyone in Texas are backward hillbillys. This is just a platform for the Republican Party. It is meant to do exactly what is doing, cause a stir and get people to notice it. It is no way a law, nor would it ever become a law because 99% Texans wouldn't vote for it.
Racemeimagirl: Sorry you had a bad exprience, but that was just your exprience. Many people have come to Texas and love it! I moved here about 3 1/2 years ago and I consider it my forever home.
TexasBadBoy: Your ignorant ass is the reason people think Texas is full of backwards rednecks. Please stop spewing your hate you sound like a jackass with a 3rd grade education!

  44. 44

This IS NOT the only state that has this. Get over yourself. People like you are the reason why Texas has a bad image.

  45. 45

These people need to get out of the 1860's. Than

  46. 46

I'm from Texas and trust me, most of us are supportive of the homosexual community.

  47. 47

Yo, Mario, this IS Texas you're talking about. Do you expect any less of them?

  48. 48

How about saying "Hey whatever Republicans support this you suck," instead of all of Texas? Not everyone in Texas feels this way. Keep dogging the whole state and I won't be back. I personally don't support this. And, I don't base opinons about any group in such general terms. It perpetuates negative stereotypes. Something I would think you wouldn't do based on the causes you support…

  49. 49

Piratecookie said it best. I was born and raised in Texas and I have never agreed with those views–and yet, ironically, you pooled me in with the group of people who DO agree with this, solely because I live in Texas. I'm almost certain there are close-minded and uneducated people everywhere, not just Texas. Not cool, Perez.

Also, I may not be a rocket scientist but everybody that flipped out on TexasBadBoy failed miserably–I think it's safe to say you were all trolled. Derp!!!!

  50. 50

I don't have to watch it to know that I don't have a problem with it. If mario doesn't like it, it must be good and correct.

also, this: Re: No Talent_Blogger – - I don't care if someone likes the peen or the punani. It's none of my business, and I don't see why it should be anyone else's as long as it's between consenting adults. but goddamn if I don't have a knee-jerk "fuck no. prop 8 all the way" reaction every time perezio whines about somebody not acting like gay people are the greatest thing ever. I mean, look at that fat fuck. Now imagine him having sex - with a man or a woman. That is something laws need to prevent. TL;DR MARIO IS PIG DISGUSTING.

  51. 51

Yeah, because EVERYONE that lives in Texas MUST support this. Just like all blacks like fried chicken and all Italian-Americans live like Snooki on Jersey Shore and all girls who are skinny are probably anorexic. I'm so sick of people on here stereotyping "Texas" with "hateful rednecks" and what not. Yes, there are close-minded people here, but a lot of you are close-minded too, failing to see that Texas, just like any other state, is composed of way more people than that who believe differently. Personally, I've lived in Texas for 11 years (I'm 21) in three different cities and I've never met anyone horrible like you all make them out to be. And for the record, I do agree with equality for all along with EVERYONE ELSE I know who lives in this state.

  52. 52

this is ridiculous. the united states has to start approaching the issue of gay rights federally if states take bigoted actions such as these. there is nothing in the constitution that says anything about the banning of gay rights or gay marriage. all men are created equal. the united states is actually violating the constitution by mixing church and state, as the only written expression of anti homosexuality is found in religious documents. its time to make progress. people will look back on this time the same way we look back on the unfair treatment of african americans and their segregation. its time to change.
