Tommy Lee Jones Joins Captain America Cast

The studio behind the upcoming Captain America movie has announced that Tommy Lee Jones will be taking the role of Colonel Phillips. Apparently, geeks across the Matrix have known this for months and months, so Marvel thought it would better to just confirm it already.

We don't really know the mythology but supposedly this is a pretty major role. Colonol Phillips is the man who "recruits Steve Rogers to join Project Rebirth, the experimental project that leads to the creation of the Super Soldier." We're assuming this is how Captain America comes into being? Right? Yes?

Hopefully, this won't conflict with Tommy reprising his role in the soon-to-be Oscar worthy MIB III!
