We just don't think he has the star power!
Bret Michaels is in talks to replace Simon Cowell on the next season of American Idol. He says:
"We have a meeting in L.A. in a couple weeks and we're going to sit down and talk. They did a poll and I think it was Madonna, P. Diddy, Howard Stern and myself, and I took 50 per cent or 60 per cent of the vote and that's tremendous. I would love to be a judge on American Idol. I think I would bring a lot to the table.
"I'm not built exactly like Simon Cowell, but, at the same time, I respect what he did. I would have to bring my own personality. I think if they have someone in there to try to imitate Simon, it would be a mistake; he's an original. Bring Bret Michaels in to be original… Bring someone who can bring a little grit, true grit, back to the show."
We think Bret's resurgence of fame is fleeting and while we're happy he's doing well, he's NOT the guy for this job!

I think it's a bad idea. He's not intelligent enough. U need someone super smart for head judge. I think what might have worked is if Ellen had not been a part of this series and to replace Simon they introduced Brett and Ellen, but too late now. An option might be to get rid of Kara, and bring in another new judge there. Possibly J.Lo along with Brett. That could work. Then make Ellen head judge cos she's the smartest.
Ok sure, a guy who's been touring the world with his music the last 25 years doesn't have the "Star Power" but an Internet blogger does? Keep dreaming Perez!

They should replace Ellen with him and find someone else to replace Simon. But they can bring in anyone now because they did with Ellen - She didn't bring anything to the show and doesn't have anything to offer as advice - Just walk up to someone on the street and you could get the same advice hers was just an opinion who needs that - you need someone who gets the music industry Bret will know that.
If Bret Michaels is selected, it will be the end of American Idol. He is just not the one.
