Actually, according to the Teikyo University of Science Department of Animal Science, dogs prefer classical music with a twist!
After 18 months of research, scientists found that the best form of soothing sounds for dogs is a mixture of classical music infused with ambient noise, such as human conversations and other dog's barking.

It's funny you mention this because my boyfriend's aunt's dog has anxiety. Very bad anxiety and it's rare. That is interesting, though. Yes, Ke$ha is beginning to annoy me. Badly.

i bought a DVD "for dogs" and played once while i was home to test her reaction and see if she would like it on while i'm at work. yea, it just succeeded in freaking her out and making her bark at the TV. rip off.

One of my dogs hated classical music, overall the ones the orchestas and anything that had a violin. The violin was the worst for my dog, she would bark a lot to the radio, scratch her ears, and do crying noises. My other dog, well, she didnt care anything at all, sleeping for her was the least of her troubles.
I have an old arthritic dog and enlisted the help of a canine massage therapist. She plays a CD called "Through a Dog's Ear" and it really does seem to help our dogs all just chill
