WTF Is Jules Neighborhooding???
Awhile back, we mentioned that Courteney Cox's show, Cougar Town, would go through a name change for its upcoming season. Producers strongly feel that the name of the show doesn't really connect with the content and has kept a wider audience from embracing the show.
So, a list of new names has been circulating around Hollywood. Some of them are good. Some of them are not. Some of them we just don't get.
This is the short list:
* Friends and Family
* Friends and Neighbors
* The Cul de Sac Neighborhood
* The End of the Street
* The Neighborhood
* Jules Neighborhooding
Ah, so Courteney could be back to being a "friend" again! That's sure to bring in the slow ones who don't realize the original Friends has been off for like seven years.

What? Why rename something that has a perfectly concise and relevant title, with something that potentially has no kick at all? My interpretation is that they are worried that 'cougar' is an offensive or off-putting concept. They should stick with the original title - it seems ill-advised to change a brand name, even if the brands' content has changed.

I think renaming Cougar Town is utterly STUPID!!! Calling it something like Friends and Neighbours is ridiculous because yes they are friends and neighbours, but it doesn't capture the essence of what the show actually is. I don't think it has outgrown the name Cougar Town at all. DON'T BE STUPID PRODUCERS!!!!!!!!

Cougar town is a great name. It looks good and it sounds good. Why the hell do they wanna change it? Really, do they really think they are going to get more viewers by changing the name to something like "The Neighborhood", that just sounds like a booooring reality show about retarded people. Go with Cougar Town, or realize that the number of viewers doesn't depend on what name you put on a show, it's if the show is GOOD or BAD. And Cougar Town, is just like those other tv-shows where you have to watch "really funny people" living their "normal life".
