* To raise awareness regarding the plight of children with Down syndrome in foreign orphanages and their availability to be adopted

* To raise adoption grant donations for each of our waiting children

* To seek new adoptive families for orphans with Down syndrome internationally

* To provide adoptive families with additional fundraising opportunities.

* To fund humanitarian aid opportunities and improve the quality of life of our children waiting to be adopted

* To fund educational and therapeutic opportunities for orphaned children with Down syndrome living in foreign orphanages

* To fund and facilitate the development of new Down syndrome birth parent support groups in foreign countries, thereby decreasing the number of children placed in orphanages

* To enact social change abroad about children with Down syndrome and other special needs through the testimony of adoption"

Um, liberals don't think that about children with down's syndrome. You are really off your marker! Who the hell do you think lobbys congress for additional money for education and other big government entitlement programs for the disabled? Can't you right wingnutz ever get your facts straight?

I am lucky enough to have a little brother with Down syndrome and I also work at the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis. Reece's Rainbow is an amazing organization that I support, and I know two families who are in the process of adopting through them. My life basically revolves around people with DS and I wouldn't have it any other way! They make the world a better place!

The truth is that in the United States, 90%, yes 90% of pregnancies with Down Syndrome being diagnosed are aborted. Pro-lifers like Mrs. Palin choose not to terminate their pregnancy despite knowing the outcome. That's right-wing wingnut in laymen's terms.

I love this organization because we have a very different view of the opportunities for children with Down Syndrome than many other parts of the world.
