Joy Behar To Replace Larry King?
Sources say that a mere 24 hours after Larry King announced his retirement, CNN is in talks with his replacement.
And it's not who he asked for.
Insiders say the CNN is currently looking into having The View and HLN host Joy Behar take over Live. Her current show's ratings are doing well enough that execs think she could handle the upgrade, but the deal would go against Larry's final wishes aka Ryan Seacrest.
Seacrest is busy! Forget about him!
Personally, we would love to see Joy get the gig! She's intelligent, interesting and funny!

Normally I have no use for these gossip show hosts, but Joy is worth watching. She seems far more normal and sensible than most, amusing, intelligent. A breath of fresh air, one might say.

i'm not really a fan of either of these, but at least joy seems to know SOMETHING (however little) about politics; i don't think ryan seacrest knows anything about anything unless it deals with kim kardashian.

I can't stand her. I'm Canadian and I haven't watched The View since she made fun of our former Prime Minister, Jean Chrétien. She disagreed with him on some issue, so she made fun of his Québécois accent and his Bell's palsy. It wasn't funny, it was disgusting. It's the same as some right-wing nutjob making fun of Michael J. Fox's disability because he doesn't agree with Fox's fundraising tactics.
Jean Chrétien was a great Prime Minister who did many wonderful things for Canada during his years of service, not the least of which was to push the legalization of gay marriage through Parliament just before he retired.

This is why CNN will remain in third place. Has anyone watched her whole show. ALL she does is show how ignorant she is about things. You can lie in the time slot she has but you take over Larry King and people will start to notice that you don't have a clue about the subject matter and that you just go with you feelings not fact. What a huge mistake she would be. Last numbers I looked at she was still 6 - 7 times behind the first place program! But CNN is proud of that number?

I like Joy. She's calls it like she see's it and that's very refreshing. She may be uniformed on many issues and a bit old-fashioned on certain things, but she has good morals, is fair and honest…I say do it. Her show is one of the only hews/media/showbiz chat shows I can actually stand.

I believe CNN will be asking Larry to come back. No one, including Seacrest, can take his place when it comes to great interviewing skills.
