Charlie Sheen Plea Bargain Stalled!
Not good!
Charlie Sheen's domestic violence plea deal is running into some bumps in the road with each party not being able to come to an agreement.
The Aspen District Attorney's Office had offered Charlie a one-year deferred sentence to felony menacing which would result in no jail time.
If Charlie stays out of trouble during that one year period, the crime is wiped from his record.
BUT if he slips up he's automatically convicted of the crime!
A source reveals:
“They are no closer to reaching a deal and it does not look like any agreement will be reached when they next go to court on July 12, 2010. If there is no resolution then the judge could well set a trial date if he can clear his calendar and find a date that will suit the attorneys too.
“This might not be the worst option because it could buy all sides a couple of months breathing space and more time to reach a plea deal because at the moment there is stalemate.”
Sheen's next court date is set for July 12.
We think the deferral would sound good in theory, but with Charlie's criminal record we don't think it's likely he'll stay out of trouble for one whole year!

No jail time and his record cleared after one year? Sounds like a pretty sweet deal. Is Charlie Sheen that incapable of going a whole year without committing a crime?

I think he could manage a whole year clean, IF he hires a personal driver/assistant. He doesn't need another car in the canyon by whoever keeps putting it there.

Re: taytay01 – It wasn't prejudice, in my humble opinion, but rather than damning photo of Rihanna's face that did it all. Make no mistake, Sheen isn't everybody's flavor favorite either. He just happens to have a show with great writing that pulls numbers.
Charlie Sheen looks like a prisoner on his way to the gas chamber. Is he not able to stay out of trouble for a year? Maybe he go on a 12-month retreat to some remote island or mountain top where there's no temptations…no booze, drugs, women or anyone to get into a brawl with. Boring but safe.
Charlie Peen will be a repeat offender because he has never really had to face the true consequences of his asshole behavior. As long as he can skirt the punishment, he will continue to abuse women with violence. I say he should be thrown in with the big boys so he can feel what it's like to be manhandled.
I find it very interesting how this man gets so many chances to screw up, yet is never shunned by Hollywood,never blacklisted, still has his show and isn't getting NEARLY the backlash Chris Brown got. Re: lacey1 – I hadn't seen those pics. There was a huge stink when Sheen got himself into all those troubles too, just like Brown. Sheen didn't put himself all over the airways after it happened. He wisely kept a low profile, and didn't get into a public pissing match with the women, allowing it to fade away quickly. Time has passed, and the public forget. Brown will get on his feet in time if he focuses on good work and his career, like Sheen has. The difference is how fickle and temporary the music industry is. Brown may have to work the smaller venues like Tina did post Ike. They're more fun and personal anyway. Then he'll eventually produce an album again that will knock people out, because Brown can saaaang, and he'll upswing, IF he puts away all of this personal stuff.
