Grease is being being re-released in a Sing-A-Long version across the country, but for some reason, it was being shunned from Ocala, FL, John Travolta's home away from Hollywood.
And the town folk were so disappointed, they started an online poll to get on the film's distribution list and after a few hundred votes, they won their case!
Then, John Travolta took the time out to thank them for their dedication to the film. He sent over a statement telling them he wished he could be there and to enjoy the movie!
How nice!
Would be an even bigger surprise if he showed up for a screening or two.

That's only part of the story, he is footing the bill for every ticket holder to receive a large popcorn, large drink & candy of their choice. Considering all the Ocala shows are completely sold out it's estimed to be costing him 25,000 +. Such a nice gesture!

I've seen him out around Ocala before. He goes to our shitty mall a lot. I've met his wife when they were premiering Bolt at the theatre. They're both very nice.
Great Guy,,I live 45 mins from Ocala, funny thing is when he was filming Saturday Night Fever My parents and older sister lived in the apartment above the paint shop in the movie
and now years later we live nearly 45 miles away lol

Have you ever been to Ocala FL, Perez? I have:( Oh sure, now it's built up with the 55 and over drinking communities but back in the day? Not El Lay or NYC, fer sure.
John Travolta has had a rough time recently BUT that's no excuse for him to have packed on the pounds. Doesn't he want to be around to see his new baby? He's always had weight issues, but this is absolutely ridiculous.

You only told half the story Perez. To show his thanks Danny Zuko sent a message saying every ticker holder gets a drink, bucket of popcorn and box of candy, all large sizes. All 6 shows are already sold out with the theater holding 300 people. The total cost will come to $25,000.00
