Enrique Blames Yo Momma!

| Filed under: Legal MattersEnrique Iglesias

Welcome to the American judicial system! Land of the free to sue for whatever you want!

Enrique Iglesias is being sued by a fan after an accident at one of Enrique's radio appearances back in 2007. Supposedly, an 11-year-old girl had her foot crushed by the singer's car and now her mother is suing for damages.

Thing is, Enrique is already on the defense, filing legal documents disclaiming any responsibility for the accident. While he feels bad for the kid, he claims that the fault lies with the girl's mother for not "adequately supervising her and protecting her from harm."

Man has a point! You gave the kid life but didn't feel the need to look after it just a bit?! The nerve!

Hopefully, this won't get too messy for him…

Jersey Shore starts soon and we wouldn't want this to interfere with his duties to the show and his new single!!!

What ever happened to personal responsibility in this country, it drives me insane!!! If people can blame someone else for their irresponsibility & stupidity, they will. And the lawyers are waiting like vultures, because the system lets them get away with this money draining litigation. God forbid anyone should have to use their brain and think something through before they act/don't act.

Some parents are so stupid. I bet the kid wasnt even hurt. The mother is just looking to get easy money. Karma will get her.

  5. 5

Obviously she thinks she can MAKE money from the SITUATION…Enique, makes a GOOD POINT….

    enrique is so HAWT

Why is it when you hear about these stories they always happen years ago? This is 2010 and this happened in 2007? I know the systems is backed up but come on! I agree here too, it's about damn time these parents start taking some responsibility. They always seem to want to blame someone else and expect everyone to look out for their kids. What the hell was the kid doing close to a damn car during a celebrity event?? It's like the paps getting pissed when they get bumped by the cars of have their feet run over while chasing a celebrity in their car. Your own damn fault. GET OUT OF THE WAY OF THE CAR!!!

I`m sorry but he is very stupid, in Chile he throw a dangerous piece of metal to the public, one lady was bleeding after, very stupid, super dangerous… He is not really smart… who do something like that…

  9. 9

He is right, it's the mother's fault for not taking care of her daughter.

Re: misssnowflake – omg yes!!! I totally agree with you! It frustrates me that peole can just blame someone else!!!

  13. 13

ahahaha this only reminds me Enrique in Chile, when dissapointed with the award he got he threw it to the people. Unfortunately the award had the shape of a seagul now u can imagine the rest of the story. I think he injured 2 people, and it was for a week in every south american tv news. U can watch it still in youtube under the name of: Festival De Viña 2000 - 5ta Noche - Enrique Iglesias 02 (Gaviotazo).

Re: misssnowflake – Agreed, Well said. This generation of parents are the worse we ever had. Teen pregnancy is on the rise, KIDS with STD's, Literally every other girl sending nudes of herself..Where are the damn parents? Oh wait, Trying to sue someone for easy money for their own stupidity.

It's funny shes sueing the richest person. Why not the driver? Why not the security team? Why not the company the driver works for? These people are at wayyyy more fault then Enrique..in which wasn't even driving..She picked the richest person to sue..of course..Take responsibility for your damn kid.

  16. 16

Re: NookiesWA – Are you still here pencil dick ? Shut your fucking mouth.
How do you all know that it was her fault ? accidents happen , how do you fucking know that he had nothing to do with it ?

  17. 17

WOW!! I think we feel the same for one time perez! people need to watch there kids and u sould not be that close not matter what ur age is!

  18. 18

Nice to know that these posts get proofread and spellchecked before we read them.

Re: ParalyZzzZzer – Dude! Stop bullying people for no reason! You must be miserable! Just be happy!

THROW IT OUT - GREEDY IRRESPONSIBLE PARENTING-Sick of the whiney ass people in this country who don't parent their kids and take responsibility for their actions- the CHILD (yes child) should NEVER have been allowed to get that close to the car in THE FREAKING FIRST PLACE- why is it even a question as to who is right or wrong- the CHILD should not EVER have been allowed that close to a car - furthermore it is irrelavant who he ever did or did not do in the past to anyone - this is a separate incident. This country is full of whiney ass people who can't take responsibility for their actions.

    "filming legal documents" TYPO!

Enrique should be happy that people are still trying to sue him. He should be happy people still talk about him and still think he is rich. Even if she does win the case, he is probably broke, so they will just award her some of his cd's. I would not pursue this if I was her. Just thinking about having to listen to those cd's is making me get close to vomiting.

  22. 22

Re: ParalyZzzZzer – If accidents happen then why is she suing huh? Don't stalk me via comments section and attempt to argue with me. I will destroy your dumb ass. How could it possibly be his fault? Did he say to his driver "HEY RUN THAT GIRL OVER"..Uhh no, People crowd a celebs car all the time as they are leaving to get final autographs. If the girl was too close to a car that was unattended then yea. If the child was near her mother and the mother was keeping a watchful eye over her then it wouldn't of happened. Just another useless woman wanting to get rich off a mans expense. As always.

  23. 23

Ameircan? Ever thought of putting on spell-check?

  24. 24

    Land of the sues.

  25. 25

While the mother bears some responsibility, is there not anyone that finds this legal positioning tacky and classless? And to those who say that the driver should have been sued, the driver was likely under Enrique's employ, again making Enrique the responsible party.

Pick up the girl's out of pocket medical expenses graciously and be done with it. It is what he should have done in 2007… and what the mother should have accepted. No more, no less.

  26. 26

I love how you spelled American wrong. Hahahahaha

  27. 27

The girl was 11, not a toddler, a mother is not going to be holding her hand everywhere she goes. Yeah the mother holds some responsibility but so does the driver, who runs over a little girl? Maybe he should have watched where he was driving!

  28. 28

I agree with him. It's the mother's fault for not being in control of her stupid kid.

  29. 29

    so true :)

  30. 30

Stupid people suing for things that happened centuries ago.WTF!

  31. 31

Re: NookiesWA – I agree with you. Don't blame the driver or security, blame the rich superstar who is nothing but a passenger in this situation. What real involvement did he have other than being there when it happened?
