Hayden Christensen Suing USA Networks

Hayden Christensen and his brother Tove have filed a lawsuit against USA Networks, claiming the network stole their idea for the series Royal Pains.

Apparently, back in 2005 the brothers pitched an idea for Housecall, a show about a "concierge" doctor who makes home visits to wealthy clients.

Legal papers were filed on Tuesday at Manhattan Federal Court in New York City.

Hmm…it's a little suspicious that the show is so similar to the idea the Christensen brothers pitched.

Who do U think came up with the show first??

I love this show. No offense to either party but it's not like it's a super duper creative idea that only one person in the history of the world has ever come up with.

Whoa, before I started reading the text, I thought they were a couple of gay lovers!

    I'm on team Hayden.
Having personal experience with the so-called "creator" of the Royal Pains it's shocking to me that silver spooner could have written a show that was entertaining or funny. He's a starf*cker of the most obvious kind and a complete tool.

Whatever, that show sucks anyway. Psych and White Collar are so much better.

Hayden's brother looks like Xavier Samuel in this picture.
    TEAM CHRISTENSEN.

Royal Pains SUCKS! It's just like House except it's the stupidist show on television.

Seeing as we have NO other information to go on, doofus, I don't think anyone can form an opinion on who came up with the show first.

    You are becoming super lame.

This is completely retarded. I'm in TV development, and I also pitched a concierge doctor concept to the networks 3 years ago. So has everyone. It has been pitched to death. Just like mob doctor, royalty doctor, celebrity doctor, etc et al. The problem is, before ROYAL PAINS nobody knew what concierge doctors were, so everyone who did know thought it was THEIR idea.

This does happen. Gene Roddenberry (sic) pitched Star Trek to CBS in 1964. They turned it down but then developed Lost In Space, which started out as a drama (before the campy comedy was added).

And in a strange turn, Jess Openheimer (sic), who created I Love Lucy, sued Desilu because Lucille Ball played the same character in The Lucy Show and Here's Lucy. So, he and his family ended up getting a piece of all three of the series Lucy did where she played a slap-stick style comedian named Lucy (the last series being the very short lived Life With Lucy from the 1980s).

I don't think Hayden need would lie about something like that..what for? to get his name out there? Oh wait he's already famous on his own account, maybe the money which i'm sure he doesn't need again he is a well acclaimed actor. Anyways i am all for Hayden Christensen he is my favourite actor because he's good and also VERY nice to look at!!

And who the hell are these 2?

  12. 12

Uh, this looks gay. Pa-lease, nooooo!

  13. 13

    Wow he's still hot!

You'd think people in showbiz would understand basic copyright law. You CANNOT own an idea. There's no case here.

Is his brother called Tove for real? That's a girls name in Scandinavia and if I'm not mistaken he has Danish ancestry so they should have checked up on the name a little more =)

Creative ideas are stolen regularly, and more often than not, like candies out of a bowl.

I tend to believe Hayden Christensen. His grandmother lives on Long Island and I'm sure he's been to the south side and to the Hamptons numerous times. It doesn't seem odd that he would come up with the idea first.

  18. 18

those 2 are cute they should have sex

  19. 19

    Hayden would not lie
