I'm sooo proud of you!!!! You have made a HUGE step in a healthy life. I too have lost weight. I had to have surgery due to another illness to see if the weight loss would put me into remission. It hasn't but was worth a try. It has made me much healthier. I've lost 130lbs. No more BP meds, no more diabetes, no more other problems related to it. CONGRATS!!!! For this you are going to live so much longer and happier!!! *hugs*

No matter your "reasons" for doing so, as some have mentioned here, the results are what matter to your heart, sugar levels and general good health. Congrats! Only one thing stood out to me, and that was the comment about not paying attention to food by making it ahead of time. I tend to believe that not paying attention can lead to some bad habits creeping in and weight creeping on. I have found that paying closer attention and learning about sugar level spiking and healthy exercise are things that just plain feel better in the body and produce healthier results. Good work, keep loving yourself and pass THAT on!
