Amy Winehouse's ex-husband is claiming that he received no money in his divorce settlement with Wino, mostly because he didn't ask for anything. He explains
"I never asked. I didn't want to know, as I knew from the off that I wasn't going to. I imagine a few people close to Amy probably jumped for joy and some people close to me, especially my lawyer, said I was an idiot!"

Why is it that women ALWAYS deserve something in a divorce, but the men NEVER do? Perez always sides with the women. I think it's possibly the most stand-up thing he's ever done in his life. Considering that he holds a great deal of credit for how messed up she has been, it's nice that he didn't try to fleece her on top of it.

actually, despite the fact that everything about this guy is totally offensive to the senses. Just the fact that if he had tried, whether he deserved it (they never do) or not, he probably would have gotten something out of it. But he didn't even try, thats not only surprising, but it says to me that despite all the horrid self induced issues this guys has, he isn't that bad of a person. i think it shows he actually cared about her, and though YES, he is half to blame for her addictions (she gets to take the other half of the blame) It's refreshing to see somebody just wishing their ex well and walking away, without trying to grab everything they can that they never lifted a finger to work for.
