LOLhan's Nails May Land Her More Jail Time
WTF was she thinking?!
Lindsay Lohan was sporting the works "fuck u" on her fingernail during her probation hearing on Tuesday and now she is gonna pay for it!
According to NYC Public Defender Stacy Schneider, if Lindsanity's message was aimed at the court, "it would be a separate charge for contempt.”
Schneider said:
“She could have an entire extra sentence heaped on top of her current one. If the judge were angry enough, it could run even consecutively.
It's up to her lawyer to catch things like that. A bra strap that shows or a boxer line that shows is pretty bad, but this tops the cake."
El Lay Public Defender Greg Apt added, "The judge could hold her in direct contempt, which could be between three to five days in jail for vulgarity."
Ha! There was never any doubt in our mind that Shawn Chapman Holley sucked, but this is RIDIC!!!

If she gets the contempt charge and is sentenced to 3 or 5 days then she'll probably only serve one extra day. I think she deserves it. It's clear from her reaction yesterday (when she learned the sentence) that this has been one big joke. She'll learn July 20th, it's no joke.
The prosecutor was SO on her case, that I wouldn't be surprised if she sees all this about the finger nail and contacts the judge to tattle, and thus Lindsay gets even MORE time. Crazy stuff.

I don't think it is so much that Shawn Chapman Holley suck's but more like she had a total train wreck to work with! Contempt includes behavior that opposes the dignity of the court, or an act that is intended to embarrass or engender disrespect. Land of the Free? We're a land of Laws.

Regardless of whether or not it was brought to the attention of the court via the media, it was completely inappropriate for the setting, and Lohan knew it. In general it's probably stupid to stencil that on your nails. Once again it's everyone else's fault and never hers. She should be held in contempt. Her lawyer did not suck—she had a guilty client who was long overdue to pay for the consequences of her actions, and there was just so much she could do.

I took that in the hospital when I had a kidney stone, and finally got a prescription for it when I went to the ER a second time, in 5 days! Whether it was aimed at the judge/court or not is completely irrelevant. The point is that you do not go into a courtroom - especially when you have been a defendant and you are about to be sentenced - with a manicure that says 'fuck u'. It shows complete disrespect and contempt for the court, the judge, the system - even if it is not specifically meant for them. It is also the action of someone who is emotionally unstable and immature.
Whether it was aimed at the judge or not, she should've of thought about it before going into court…if she is truly sorry and has respect for the judge, court etc then you would assume she would do everything in her power to come across that way.
