Ryan Murphy has confirmed that our beloved Britney Jean Spears WILL be getting a tribute episode during the next season of his smash series, Glee, and he's currently in the middle of writing it!
YAY!
No word yet on whether or not our gurl will make an appearance herself during the show, but if she did, it would be EPIC!

Who on earth is this tragically untalented hack with a voice of an aging bullfrog "beloved" by? In fact, since most of her hits are constructed tracks without much of an actual "song" underneath them, this strikes me as an exceptionally weak choice. Her records aren't the sort that will stand the test of time; they're disposable dance tracks much like those Paula Abdul or Jody Watley made 20 years ago — do you remember any of those? I'm afaid "Brit Brit" is one of the sadder results of celebrity culture obsession.

No no no! I like Brit Brit, she has made some catchy songs but there is no way she deserves a full episode over many of her female peers (Janet Jackson especially). If anything they should do a few songs like Toxic, Baby One More Time and Womanizer but not an all Brit episode. she's the product of her producers, not a true game changing artist like Madonna (who def deserves another episode given her incredible back catalog of work). They should do a pop princess episode with Britney, GaGa, Kylie, Janet, Gwen, Rihanna etc songs. Madge is the Queen and in another league.
Horrible idea. The producers are digging the show's grave with all the guest stars and complete episodes devoted to one singer/band.
