Poppa Lohan Gives Lindsanity Jail Advice
Ugh, he just doesn't know when to quit!
Considering he's spent three years in prison, Michael Lohan decides that its his fatherly duty to advise Lindsay on the inner workings of the slammer.
He said:
"It's not going to be a good experience for her. Right now, she should be working on rectifying the situation and getting better.
It's just a horrible experience. Twenty-three hours a day, she'll be locked up. I'm going to get her out of that cell as much as I can. And Kate will be there, and we'll work to get her out of that cell as much as possible.
She knows I still want to throw her in [rehab]. I've been trying to tell her how much I love her, that I'm behind her, that when she's ready, I'm ready to help her.
If she would just realize that what she's taking is toxic…. Dina has denied that Lindsay is on prescription meds. Lindsay has denied that she is on prescription meds. Her friends have. Everyone has! And look at her! They're lying."
Dina should be concentrating on helping Lindsay get off of the prescription drugs instead of stealing Fudgy the Whales from Carvel!
I had a feeling that Lindsay might go to jail and I wanted to be there for her, but I wanted to be there, more importantly, to submit the letter to the judge in hopes that she would just give her rehab, which she did consider and I appreciate that. But at the same time, Lindsay is not a criminal. She is a woman with a disease. She really is. She needs help. She needs medical attention."
And she's not the only one!

I think a lot of what he is saying makes sense…
i never thought i would have an ounce of respect towards anyone with the name of lohan, but he's showing himself to be the sanest one out of the group
Michael Lohan maybe a famewhore at times, but I think he's the only one that cares, even if its just a little. She's got someone in her corner. The people she has in her life is just there to ride her coat tails. Look at Dina, she does just that and continues to deny that there is any problem and treats Lindsay like a baby. I understand that's her baby but Lindsay is a 24 year old woman who has problems, and a lot of those problems come from her parents. They need to both admit that there's a problem, tell her they love her, and help her get help! And Michael is helping her by telling her what its like to be in jail, real jail. If she goes in without any knowledge of jail, she's gonna have problems. Look at Paris, she cried and go out 23 days later. Lindsay needs to suck it up and do her time!

Poppa Lohan is making alot of sense, I think he really cares about it daughter and always has just MOMMA Lohan is bat crazy. Lindsay needs help and maybe jail she will get the reality check she needs with her dad by her side
I like how he says she's not a criminal. She is a criminal. She broke the law by driving drunk (twice) and having cocaine on her and then she skipped the alcohol education classes that were court mandated. That's a criminal. If that was you or me, they wouldn't think twice about throwing us in jail.

yes, pops, she is a woman with an addiction, but she is also a criminal. lots of other criminals in our country are also addicts who do bad things and then have to pay the price behind bars, just like your kid.

I agree with him. But I do think she needs the 90 days in jail. If 90 in jail then 90 in rehab don't help, everyone can just sit back and wait for her to overdose.
It's indeed criminal to commandeer someone else's vehicle and drive while DUI with Cocaine in your system at a treacherously high rate of speed, a grave danger to everyone on the road and in that vehicle with her. Never mind adding MORE DUI's after that, and breaking probation repeatedly. That is the definition of criminal behavior, and that's why Revel threw her in jail with THREE consecutive sentences. He sounds like enabler Dina. If one of them tuned her in and used the word criminal, she might actually experience shame and think about flying right.
Re: magan2009 – SO TRUE!! I agree completely… he may be a douch, don't know him, but at least he's trying to stop her from becoming another statistic. All Dina wants to do is keep her party buddy. So sad. I get the feeling its too late though… it's hard to imagine her turning around — complete with a sober, new attitude you know?

Lindsay has had NO communication with im at all. She does NOT speak with him AT ALL and he speaks as if he has been talking with her.

Why did he go to a nightclub after Lindsay was sentenced? THAT'S not right. Why is he still smoking? ALL of these things are not positives for Lindsay. I also heard him swear on TV - yet another thing that is not Christian-like. I realize we ALL make mistakes but he's not living his best life either. He also knows how Lindsay feels about her mom and to knock her down ALL the time doesn't make Lindsay want to know him. His approach to life is no better than Lindsay's approach to life.

He's kind of right in a lot of ways and seems to want the best for his daughter even though he's a famewhore it's the only way that he can probably communicate with Lindsay through the press so .. it's a really sad situation all around and the he's totality right about Dina she should be worried about her daughter not the black card at Carvel. She's in denial cause she likes to party just as much as Lindsay does and loves to use her name to keep getting free shit. If she does have a prcription for all these drugs they should watch her she might try to od before she goes to jail. Either way it's a loose loose situatation for this family. Hope she gets the help she needs.
So many people have reviled him but he keeps on spouting common sense! I think the haters should lighten up. He seems to be the only one who is trying to damn her or wish her dead. I was at the courthouse the day she was sentenced and spent a few minutes assessing her dad. He spent most of the proceeding outside of the courtroom on his cell phone, pacing in that god-awful plaid sport coat, next to some kind of aging 40-something blond girlfriend-du-jour. It seems that he does care about his daughter, but wow, does that guy like attention for himself. I actually overheard him bragging about his relationship with Lindsay; something about her anxiously getting him up at 3 AM to make sure he was going to be there. He really tries to hammer home how close they are, as if he has to convince people of his relevancy. I feel sorry for her.
