In her credit, she has a big voice, but the lyrics are seriously lacking. "Somebody mixed my medicine" and "when I look in your eyes it makes me wanna' die." Riiiiight. She's not very believable. She has that to work on.
With an attitude adjustment, not picking her nose after touching her eyeshadow (see the black smudges in her nostral?), and a better song writer, she could make it.
And let's be honest, Disney music is crap. Ok? She's right. Pop music is unoriginal, candy coated, and only popular because it's marketed well and gets stuck in your head. But hers isn't there yet either. (but come on, she's 16. At least she's trying to be different.)
Actually, you're all pretty ridiculous. Pretty Reckless's album got awesome reviews on iTunes, unlike Miley's. Miley's album has as many one star's as it does five stars, if not that, than it has more one star's. If we're talking money wise, Miley is clearly more successful. Taylor's music is QUALITY and they actually play instruments. It's not the auto-tuned crap you listen to on Miley's record. I respect Taylor for the fact that she's real and honest, Miley is a dumb bubble gum Disney artist. If Taylor wants to wear her makeup like a raccoon, what does that have to do with her music? Stick to the subject.
She doesn't have to enjoy Disney…I don't, personally…but if she wants to be seen as a grown-up she should at least respect that there are some people out there (most of her peers) who are into it. She comes off as a bratty, spoiled tween due to her attitude. Other than that, good for her for wanting to be an individual, but sometimes trying too hard to be different makes people look more like sheep.

honestly being a 17 year old myself… shes just going through a phase… i mean shes still so young and has such a ways to grow, she may say things with that rebel attitude but some of the things she says about music surprisingly holds some truth to it (not that im some music guru). but shes doing her own thing and i mean there are so many other girls or past musicians that have done similar things and alot of the time no one gave them shit. i think people just need to stop feeding into it and let her be… she'll grow up one day and realize a few things..
plus take in mind she has OLDER guys helping her write her music, and they know about love drugs, sex and blahblahblah. so its not like the music is going to be completely ignorant. i mean even perez thinks she makes pretty good music, and in the long run thats whats she trying to do so thats all that should matter…
