We REALLY hate to say this, but he has a point.
Lindsay is currently taking several medications including Nexium for acid reflux, Zoloft, which is an antidepressant, Trazadone, another antidepressant, Adderall, for attention deficit disorder, and Dilaudid, which is a painkiller.
In Michael's letter, he says that Lindsay continues to test positive for amphetamines and opiates but she is not violating her probation since they are prescribed by a doctor. He claims that her use of these meds are "a giant legal loophole."
The letter goes on to say:
"Mr. Lohan does not believe his daughter has any medical reason to take any prescription drugs at all, much less regular use of amphetamines and opiates. She is in good health. Mr. Lohan therefore asks the court to disallow these prescription medications immediately, and to disallow them for the remainder of the term of her probation, including during any period of incarceration. Mr. Lohan also believes strongly that the doctors who are prescribing them should be investigated for unlawful over-prescribing of medication.”
As much as we don't want to, we have to agree with him. Lindsay should NOT be allowed to take so many prescribed meds while she undergoes random drug testing. This will not help her succeed in treatment.
