I'll start out by saying I'm an atheist. I'm not a Katy Perry fan, nor do I like Lady Gaga.

1. Sexuality and religion have nothing to do with one another (I did a 40 page paper a few years back that focused on the bible and sexuality.)

2. Sexuality and Innocence are linked by society and shoved down our throats by the media every day. It's never going to get old because it is society. Woman are told to be both chaste, innocent, and sexy, through body position, colors, makeup… basically everything.

3. While it's easy to argue that sexuality and religion have been linked throughout history, the way it's portrayed in music isn't really artistic… it's usually trashy. Pop music just isn't going to be the correct medium to send a serious message… especially the synthesized crap playing on the radio today. This isn't about making people think, as art should do, this is about being "edgy".

Also, to the person that said she didn't need to have a public opinion, why the hell not? Lady Gaga's video was public, so anyone can have an opinion about it. Shit, you had a public opinion as soon as you posted on this forum.
